2 Multi Marquee Group Drives
I want to extend and invitation to a couple of group drives this month. While the-winding-road started out as RX-8's we've been enjoying the company all makes and models of sports cars over the last few months, and wont to continue sharing our enthusiasm for the corners.
The Sunday Drive is part of a standing series, 1 a month since June '06, while the Saturday Drive is more of a feeler. If enough folks show, it'll be a regular occurrence too.
Sunday Drive - Harvest Road - 30 September - http://www.the-winding-road.com/modu...ent.php?eid=24
Saturday Drive - Summer's End - 15 September - http://www.the-winding-road.com/modu...ent.php?eid=23
Please, come out and join us.

^ I heard about one of your group's late night drives from Scott V. (white RX-8). Sounded like a pretty wild account. He compared it to something out of Initial D. He shared w/ me the route that you drove. Do you ever have problems w/ the cops in some of those areas?
The links don't seem to work (seems like the abbreviation of "..." was used in the posted URL). I'd be interested in viewing them if I could.

Sorry 'bout that. Links are fixed.
We haven't had any Constabulary entanglements, knock on wood.
I think an Initial D comparison is a bit excessive, we don't do any drifting. I also suggest everyone bring a 2-way radio. I had no idea anyone was uncomfortable with the pace on that run, or I'd have slowed down. As it is, we encourage everyone to drive your own drive. I like to play in the twisties, but as soon as I hit a straight, I tend to rein it in and let anyone who gets separated get caught up. The point is to get out and have fun together without making anyone uncomfortable.
BTW, the Night Drive was a success, and and I'll be adding that as a regular series, but I have to figure out a schedule first.
