I am so sorry to hear this... I live in Kirkland and while I probably won't see them for sale online I will certainly look out for any cars with the same wheels and take a snapshot with my camera. Your set is pretty rare, and if the thieves who stole them participated in a local sale then the car with them will not be far.

So, in the end, you both come out with extra cash in your pocket, even after you buy a new set of aftermarket wheels!

What is going on Seattle??? Seems like Z cars are losing wheels something fierce, only hope the pigs are looking. Damn insurance companies they take our money then bit** when we have a claim.

Sounds like a inside job or at least 1 of the employees is tipping off his buddies. I personally don't leave my car anywhere except the dealership where i know it is locked up, this I know because I have checked at the dealership. Bummer

I dont think so, they are trying to only pay $1K for everything. So i am looking into a good lawyer for everything.

They should give you the value of your stock wheels!

You need to ask a NISSAN DEALER for quote for new wheels/tires and email/fax that to the insurance company.

This is crap and two of you got it in the same week.

I'm really surprised they didn't have a surveilence camera. If they regularly have people dropping off nice cars at night, why wouldn't they have a camera?

You guys may have to move across the Sound where it is a little safer and the roads are more fun to drive.
I'll put the word out to the Z guys over here(some aren't on the forum) and take copies of the pics for both car's wheels. Stay positive and thanks for the heads up on Safeco.

I don't see how they can justify that $1000 payoff. New tires alone will be almost a grand even without mounting them.

Guys there is no justification for their actions. But without a lawyer, i'm not going anywhere with that horrid company. My insurance agent checked everything out and said thats their policy. Since my stock wheels weren't stolen like drews, i cant get shi* from safeco. They are terrible.

Weird that SafeCo is giving you hell... I am very good friends with a guy that works at a body shop, and he has told me that their shop loves to deal with SafeCo customers because they are very easy to work with on claims. Thats one of the reasons I went with them. I've not had to make a claim with them yet, knock on wood.

Maybe they are more lenient in collision situations then stolen property, though.

they have so much money they can own a tower in Seattle and sponsor a stadium but they can't pay you retail for some stolen wheels...

I haven't checked recently, but I remember my Dad would tell his insurance agent the extra modifications he had added to his BMW...that way it would be covered. Makes sense, b/c your rates are based on the value or the car...and I would think IF insurance companies paid out on all stolen aftermarket wheel/rim claims, more and more ppl would abuse the system and either steal their own rims or just claim they were stolen...

Insurance companies get scammed everyday...from my buisness dealings with them, they take a tough stance on it and are willing to pay out big $$ to put a stop to it.
