Default Torque Freaks or Ground Zero?

Does anyone have experience with either of these shops. I want to get my Nismo exhaust installed and won't be able to do it myself at my place since my garage is currently being used for other things. Most local shops won't touch the exhaust on my Z because of the test pipes, but I'm guessing I shouldn't have a problem at a performance shop.

Any suggestions or recommendations? Other options?

Sounds like Wilsonville changed their minds because of the test pipes?

Yeah. For some reason I thought they had a small garage as well. Oh well.

I can give unnatural a call a little later. I love working on my own car, but my sister's wedding is this weekend so I have a ton of family in town, and my garage is not available. Should be a really easy install with a lift. I couldn't imagine more than a hour or two.

Oh yeah... My Z is also getting wet sanded and buffed tomorrow morning. It will be looking really good just in time for the crappy weather.

That's too bad. Not too surprising but I thought it might go either way. Obviously they offered to install it before they noticed the test pipes, or were expecting to reinstall cats along with the Nismo etc...

I wonder if they would do it if it wasn't under warranty any more? They probably don't want to do anything that they can't warranty.

They knew about the test pipes before they offered to install the exhaust, but knowing that most places won't touch test pipes I called back to verify. I told them I was there yesterday and the guy on the phone said "oh, do you drive that nice black Z that was in here yesterday?" me: yeah. "sorry, we can't touch your exhaust because it's already modified." I figured that was coming. Haha

I have my work done by GroundZero.
They are pretty good. Gotta love their 9-sec TT Supra.
They're setting up my UTEC and mapping it for my nitrous as soon as I get my map switch.
Then I'll park it for the winter. LOL!
But they have a good rep and are easy to deal with.

Install is getting done on Thursday morning at GroundZero. Pretty cheap too... they say about 1 hr of labor (roughly $85).

Did they do your nitrous? I was originally thinking about going TT, but I'm planning on buying a second car that's a little faster in a year or two, so nitrous might be a good alternative. I'm thinking about a NX kit.

RREV Motorsports is doing my tuning. I also purchased my HKS EMS from them. They're very interested in getting involved in the Z community.

I installed a ZEX nitrous kit myself. Fully hidden.
Ground Zero is tunning the car and setting my UTEC maps for me.
They specialize in Turbo set-ups, but they are good with computer, maps and nitrous.

Nice. I'll have to look their way for tuning if I decide to install the NX.

I've heard a little bit about Rrev, but not a lot... seems like a good shop.

They're mostly into Supras. I admit that I don't have much experience with them, but John Reed gave me an absolutely killer deal (better than the tuner shops that advertised here) on parts & tuning on the HKS Fcon Pro I will have installed on my forged\TT setup.
I was impressed by John's non-salesman attitude. He didn't try to sell me anything, just offered his opinion when asked and did not pressure me.
We spoke about E85 and I think I will have him set up a map for me.
OverZealous1 has also dealt with John Reed at RRev, PM him about his opinion.

I thought TorqueFreaks closed because HorsePower Freaks bought them out? Thus, wouldn't HorsePower freaks be taking over the car garage aspect of TorqueFreaks also?

UPDATE....

I just got my car back from Ground Zero. I now own the loudest 350z I've probably ever heard. Haha. Might have to swap out those test pipes for some high flow cats soon to quiet things down a little. Ground Zero got the job done quickly, and at a good price. I would do business with them again.

I also took my car to Kindred and Son in Wilsonville yesterday to get wet sanded, polished, etc. and the results are amazing. Someone had keyed the side of my car, and you'd never know it happened. I have a lot of experience with this shop, and always get amazing results (even with black paint).

I know HPfreaks does have the shop space still, but I dont think they do any work. The dyno, for example, is mostly leased to other shops who dont have one in-house. HPfreaks is doing a dyno day in a couple weeks though, $50/3 pulls. No tuning. I can post more info if anyone is interested.
