+1 for Jeannie Mucklestone

 

FYI

I got a $200 ticket last October near Bellingham. I couldn't hire Mucklestone because it was out of KingCounty. But instead I hired someone named Lisa Donaldson. It was cheaper than Mucklestone by $75.

I just got a notice today (after 4 months). CASE DISMISSED!

 

I've heard the same +1 on Jeannie from a buddy of mine. I haven't had a speeding ticket in a LONG time, but if I end up with one, I'm calling her.

I think that's who I used. She calls right away and is pretty friendly about it. About $250 right?

 

I paid $400 because the infraction took place in Whatcom Cnty. If it was locally, then $300. Still cheaper than what Mucklestone would charge me. I didnt have time to shop around for good traffic attorneys so....

IMO its worth it cuz my record is clean and insurance is low.

 

So you don't even have to go ? Thats nice IMO. I would crack under the pressure and when the judge called me up I would scream my guilt!

 

Nah, sent the money via paypal, got an email the afternoon of the court date saying it'd been dismissed and that paperwork would follow. Best $350 I've ever spent on my record!

I think the court you are going to is going to directly influence which lawyer you want to represent you. who they know makes a big difference in small charges. not to mention, you could ask someone who lives a bit further away from the court you are supposed to attend, and they might quote you pretty high and just charge you for travel time.. :P

find a local if possible.

 

i had a friend who was represented by him many times. my lawyer is joseph cutter. the office he practices out of is in lakewood, but he lives in seattle.

see post 3, his prices went up, last ticket he charged 275. rates vary a bit depending on how far he has to travel to court. he also charges less if you pay cash, so call ahead and bring cash with you.
