so just to post this again in case you got lost in all the rabbit trails:

I"ll be going on this drive unless something bad happens at work

Meeting spot:
Chevron station off of I-167 (just south of I-405)
18015 EAST VALLEY HWY.
KENT,WA 98032-2503 US

-that way ppl can fill up before we leave.

Time: 8:00am
-hopefully this isn't too early...but it's a fairly long drive down there, so you don't want to start too late.
-If you need to fill up, grab coffee, ect, get there a bit early...we don't want to delay our departure!
-We'll probably stop for Breakfast on the way down and lunch on the way back up to Seattle...I'm planning on getting back around 3pm

Map:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...49953&t=h&z=14
***portions of the roads may still have snow/ice, water runoff, gravel...so be cautious!

General rules:

1) If you're part of the 'group', drive nicely! (Close to legal speeds, no crazy stunts, no racing...)
2) You can leave the group any time you want - if you're gonna do something dumb, don't associate yourself w/ us.
3) Bring radios
4) If you're part of the group, you're responsible for the person behind you to not get left behind (that way if the group get's split on a traffic light, no one gets left on their own)
5) ...

The drive was good as always. First350, Eight08flip and I went. A little dirt in some places, and towards the last 1/3 of the drive there was wet pavement in areas where the run-off of melting snow was going across the road (from about Elk Rock to JRO), but other than that it was clear and clean. In some places the plowed snow makes a 6 ft high corridor where you're driving through which felt like it was something outta a video game. it was suprising to see so much snow there so late into the season but aside from the water, it doesn't effect the drive provided the the snow line from the night before and the day that you're up there is above 4k ft.

The lower 2/3's of 504 from Kid Valley to Elk Rock was nearly perfect. A little dirt in some places, (seems to be mainly in the passing lanes) but only applicable to the most hardcore drivers and the neat freaks. It was crazy seeing the scenery change as we went up and down in elevation. Always a good drive an one that I really needed.

+1 The drive was great!! (The drive back to Seattle always feels long, but is still more than worth it to be able to get some nice open roads)

I bet it was a fine law abiding drive. No escort out of the county this time?

^Nah, only 3 this time. You need a group of about 20 to qualify for the WSP's VIP escort to I-5 from what I recall.

For all the peops who can't STFU, STFU!! Who the f**k cares who is faster on the track. We are no Michael schumacher or Ayrton Senna!! If you really wanna race, show up at the Karting day... Oh ya, Peter, when was the next Karting day?? I still wanna race you guys again...

Hey Romi-

So ya with this thread going all outta whack I decided to let the testosterone do it's thing and battle out. So obviously I didn't set up a drive with all this man drama floating around.... haha

and PS WASUBER there's two things for me to correct: 1. I've never even BEEN to Tacoma, so you won't find me there, and 2. I have NEVER even had a drink at Denny's, hell... I don't even know the last time I was there!!

Hahaaaaa

I drank at Denny's once. But they didn't have a bar there, so I had to bring my own. 2 years later, I found out I was 86'd.

True story.
