Default Need help with headers install.

Howdy Folks,

I purchased a brand new Nismo headers this week. Someone was gonna do the install for me but my gut feel says he'd rather not help me now. I talked to my dealer and they are asking $680 + tax for labor.

Can you guys help me out? Recommend anyone that can do a good job installing them for me? I'll give the guy $250.00 for labor and a free dinner at Outback Steakhouse or his restaurant of choice after the work is done.

Please help. I can't justify paying the local dealer $680.00 + tax.

Thanks,
MajorWoody.

Try Velocity-8 in Lynnwood - they do good work and are usually much cheaper than other places.

*I've done headers before...it took most of the day w/ 4 other guys. It's really not that bad, but at this point, I just don't have time for something like that. (Work is crazy and the SCCA season is in full swing)

The first time I did header was about 4 hours with jack-stands and Borla exhaust. Not to hard, needed a second person a couple times to hold/guide socket from top while person under vehicle turned ratchet. If you have dry space then it's no biggie. I'd be willing to help you do it yourself. A $20 for gas and free lunch will get you "free" help and advice.

Tommy did a set of headers on a Z before, and he told me he would never do one again, for any price. It's that bad.

I knew it would be a huge PITA, so I paid to have it done. Afterwards, the shop that did mine also told me they wouldn't do it again either, unless the person paid a ridiculous price like $800...lol.
