Default ...question about body shop

So here's the backstory...last summer my rear bumper was hit in parking lot. I leave it at Collision 1 by Northgate Mall. They "hit the lift" or "another vehicle" while moving it (got two different stories). They return it to me all jacked up, the rear bumper was misaligned and the fender lines weren't there. I return it and make them fix properly. When I got my car back it was better so I took it and left. I received no DOCUMENTATION about their little repair because I didn't ask (so that's on me).

Now fast forward to today there is some over spray in by the gas cap. I start to buff it by hand w/ polishing compound and it became a mess! I can see layers of original paint, primer, then new paint on my rear fender! What the hell should I do, and do I have any type of leverage at all?

-thanks

If the car looks ok, I would leave it... May end up being a fiasco of gigantic proportions! But then again talk to them nicely they may own up and fix it even though its been in twice already.

Post up pics of what you are talking about.

i would say the same but being that you started to buff it ... may cause a slight issue and they could completly blame you for that ... its a tough spot to be in i guess...

good luck

Was the original repair an insurance repair? If so, contact the insurance
company immediately. Their adjusters have tremendous leverage at the
body shop. COMPLAIN. This is atypical and unacceptable. Stand up for
yourself and your vehicle. No more BS. The bodyshop must be held accountable.
I would also phone the owner and demand the work be
corrected immediately (especially if this was not an insurance repair).
