Default Cars and your friends

When you guys have to borrow one of your friends cars...no matter where you go do you guys put gas in their car to be nice.
Like if their car got 25mpg and you only drove 20 or so miles would you still put in a bit of gas for them?

Yes, it's only the right thing to do.

Alright, because I let my friend borrow my car (stupid of me i know) so that he could pick someone up. I ran my car nearly dry on gas so that when he picks it up he has to put gas in it. Turns out he was racing it quite a bit I had friends calling me that the saw my car going down the road pretty fast and swerving in traffic a bit and when he borrowed and then when I got it back he gave it exactly back to me with exactly how much gas i left it. He proceeds to say that he didn't need to put gas in it for me because he invited me to Dennys even though my meal was only $4.00.

Sorrry for the long paragraph and the whole rant i'm just tired from a long day .

It's pretty weak to run your car dry before your friend borrows it, though.

Well he's done it before is why I get that it was bad on my part but I only did it because if not he wouldn't have put any in at all

Don't wanna be judgmental about your friend 'cause I don't know him. But from reading your post....he borrow you car and never put in gas.....he being reckless with you car by racing it and swerve it in and out of traffic, I'm surprise that you still have a heart to let him borrow your car.

You can solve this problem quick by not letting him borrow your car. I don't even let my wife get behind the wheel in my car, little alone borrow it. Haha.

Yup, when dealing with a mooch, passive aggressiveness = fail.

It's not like you'd be out of line for saying something to him about it. You two obviously aren't on the same page if he's calling it equal after a $4 lunch.
