Thanks, I'll look for that post. I was thinking about upgrading my alarm too but I don't know if it would do any good since the garage is totally under the building (can't see or hear anything from the outside) And yes I will run down and beat some *** with my high heels if I ever see someone break my Z. Whoever you are.... I hope you get tea bagged in prison when they eventually find you!

there are plenty of two way paging alarms that will alert you via your keychain remote if something is happening to it. you don't have to hear the alarm going off that way.

the trick is, since it has to go through a lot of walls/floors, you need to have a good range on it.

As for everything else, my insurance is getting this all fixed up and thankfully my deductible is only $100. In the meantime while my car is getting fixed I'm driving an Acura 3.5RL sooooo sloooooow.
My insurance company sent me about $2000 to replace my navigation but now I'm scared to put anything fancy in it. I'm thinking of going with a cheap cd player and buying a Tom Tom and using the rest of the money to tint my windows. Any thoughts? Do you think that's too ghetto?
Don't be scurrred to do something nice. Just make sure that you protect it properly. Do you really think you'll be happy putting a bunch of cheap crap in your car?

I do promote tinting your windows though.

2 way paging alarms will work in garages but depending on distance. i know someone who lived on the 3rd floor of the building and his car was broken into and it set off his pager. he parked right next to the elevator so there's less cement between the signals. maybe ask for a spot that's close to the elevator or on the same side as your apartment/condo?

the dude was hella funny. he ran down there with a butcher knife and in his jammies. he scared off the thieves, but he didn't get a chance to mess anyone up. if he had a baseball bat than at least he gets to smash their car windows or something...

I keep a wooden practice sword right next to my door for that very reason. I'm not looking to stab or shoot someone but I want to beat some *** and break some ****!

there are distance ratings for different paging alarms, you just need to get a good distance once to compensate for going through all the walls and whatnot, 1 mile should be good.

nice! when they see the wooden sword they'll probably think you'll karate chop their ***, lol

be sure to carry a wooden bat not an aluminum bat. i think there's a law against hitting someone with a wood bat vs an aluminum bat...
