Anyways, these articles are the ones that aren't too good for the new STi

I gets spanked in almost every review I have seen from a major automotive magazine. It's a fast car, just not as fast as a replacement for the previous car because it failed to deliver on every aspect except the interior which had a nice upgrade. Subaru sacrificed the "raw" for the "luxury" - and I don't blame them from a consumer perspective but from an enthusiast it's disappointing.

Car & Driver - '09 WRX versus '08 STi http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...take_road_test
you wanna tape up the side also, i picked up a bunch there on both my z and my sister's sti (and so did she).

part of the reason she got the 08 sti is because its a bit watered down from the previous one. its her daily, and she didn't want a hardcore ride as her daily driver.

its about the same speed as the wrx (09) in a straight line, the wrx will get to 60 first cause you can get that in second gear, in the sti the 2-3 shift is at about 58. as far as the 1/4 time being slower, it was on different days and only .1 slower with the same trap speed. that could be a difference of a launch even if it was on the same day. and the fact that they both trapped at 102 says that the sti was catching up. the conditions play a big role in a drag race, so its virtually impossible to compare times of 2 cars with this little difference if they weren't done at the same time. in a roll race (most controlled measure of power), the sti would edge out (very minor) an 09 wrx.

but the main reason for the sti is the extra hardware it comes with. the bullet proof 6 spd tranny and the monoblock brakes and the superior suspension (she's gonna keep that stock, maybe sways) and the metal intercooler as opposed to the plastic one on the wrx. i'd never buy a wrx just cause of its inferior tranny, a friend of mine has one and his tranny went out 3 times...

Exactly. Just because a professional driver was able to run a certain time on a car does not mean that you will be able to match that speed. I've seen a stock G37S 6MT run a 13.48 1/4 time, does that mean every G37S with every driver will run that time? No, not even close.

Look at how clean, functional, and good this looks.

Look at this mess.
At least they did something with our boring plain door panels yeh?

but for some reason that interior reminds me it would be in a SUV or somethin

Well yeah,Peter is like the devil on wheels :d I got much to learn, that's why I didn't bring up my driving skills at all. I'm getting into this with the mindset of trying to have fun

I like the front end but not the interior. The center gauge cluster looks like an add-on instead of factory....guess they'll match your boost and AF pillar add ons. Increased Hp and Tq are always welcome too. Does the auto come with paddles yet? Even the '09 Maxima does!!!!

Autoweek gave credit to Nissan for making a serious effort to diet the Z and get it back to more of a sports car. I will need to see the roadster before I can say for sure if I'd buy especially since Infiniti is finally coming out with a hardtop convertible for their G line.

My opinion...doesn't look as good as the 350, but then again, it may look better in person. Like most things.

this car's exterior is so fugly, I don't evem like the S-TUNE version! It seems like they're just ricing it out. And I thought I didn't like the g37, this thing makes the G37 looks like James Bond's Aston Martin.

Only things it's got going: nicer interior, nice wheel wells (and that's arguably whether it's actually better than the 350z), and the 3.7L HR

Everything else, especially the headlights and taillights = FAIL!
