I decided to put some overlays on my taillights. Initially I ordered Bats overlays, they told me his overlays were cheap quality and they were REALLY reluctant to do the work unless they used their higher quality material.

So I had Dealer Xpress do the work with their own material and this is the result. You can see the cut and fitment was terrible. I asked Mino (the manager) to redo it and they refused saying this is how they do it and this is the best they can do and hangs up on me.

I'm pretty upset I paid $100 for a product that turned out like this.

that sucks. Looks like a beginners DIY hack job. I could understand a very small line of red showing but not that much.

Those lights dont look as easy to cover as a 350z's since the 350z lights are pretty smooth and no sharp turns like the lower half of your tail light

Anytime someone tries to feed you some BS that their product is better then someone else's without telling you specifically why, theyre full of bs. The owner should have specific differences like fading, cracking, durability, stretching or ease of install ect

 

Yeah, that looks like a **** job. I'm not a fan of tinted taillights anyway, so I may be inherently biased.

 

if its any consolation it doesn't look too bad from a few feet away and beyond..

what a joke. sorry they wouldn't redo their shitty work. from a legal standpoint (if you care about legalities) don't you have to have some red visable from all angles?

 

I went to a different shop, Accutint in Bellevue. Not only did they charge me LESS than the other shop and used their own materials, they did a perfect job. A+ customer service

Night and day difference compared to the previous pictures.

The entire tails were covered and looked very professionally done. Couldn't be happier! Pictures don't do it justice.

Mino, the owner that did that install at Dealer Xpress in Auburn said he has been in the business for 16 years and told me that was the best anyone could do for the G37 tails.

What I'm most upset about with them is their refusal to give me a refund knowing they did a ****-poor quality job.

go back to the other shop and demand a refund, i would raise total hell and have like 15 friends in the store for no reason just to make things chaotic for them.

 

He's asian (I'm asian btw) and a cheap motherf*cker so I doubt me doing that is going to get me a refund.

Some shops are just unbelievable and I thought this shop was reputable.

 

ooh ya. im asian too, that sucks. we are some hard headed people when it comes to money lol. just find his family members or what church he goes to, lol. then he will give a refund FAST haha.

 

Since when does Asian = quality or reputable? At least you got it fixed. It sucks you had to pay a whole lot more than necessary.

I like that shop. But I deal with the white dude with the street bike. Hes done my g35 BMW s2000 and always does top notch work.
