any stock y pipes out there? any interest in my exhaust?..
first to get it out of the way, those who told me to hang on to my stock exhaust, you were right. I'm stupid but at least no one took me up on the offer of a free mid pipe/muffler : )
I miss the stock exhaust note and .. surprisingly enough, I miss the quietness. my exhaust sounds awesome and puts a smile on my face when I stomp on it, but I'd rather go back to stock.
I gave my stock Y pipe to Pat since he was having thoughts of goin back to stock if he sold his car, I wasn't able to get ahold of him to see if he used it or if I could score it back. anyone able to contact him? anyone have one in good condition? only one I see on CL right now is a full stock system for 150$, and I am fairly confident that person won't want to part it out, but those don't seem to sell too well from my personal expierience.
that being said, my exhaust will be up for sale too, I'll give locals first crack and at a good price that is still undecided : ) It's from magnaflow, part # 16784, stainless 3" tubing, dual exit, 4" tips. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/d...rtnumber=16784 - if anyone's interested, I'll let ya listen to it in person, it's very deep and it's on the mid range as far as loudness goes. no drone or rasp. I will try to get a video recorded as well if I can find a decent way of doing so. one warning is if you have the 'aerodynamics' package you'll have to modify or remove a couple of small rubber panels near the bends in the Y pipe. they are held on by a couple of screws, or you can chop the part that is in the way of the new larger Y pipe.
I've heard the nismo system is pretty quiet as well, so if this falls through but someone has that and wants to swap straight up for something with a little more grunt and larger tubing, I am Ok with that. we'll split the cost of the swap or if you can do it that's cool too, I lack the tools personally.

Video or pics of the exhaust would be nice. I might be interested in a swap. I have test pipes, but everything is stock from Y-Pipe and back.

I have a stock muffler and mid pipe still, just lacking a Y pipe. I am hoping to score it back for free from Pat or buy another one locally for cheap, so I can pull the system off and sell it, so no ones car has to have any downtime.
I'll check with my photo dept. buddy if they have a camera that records audio quality well, my digital camera sucks for it. in person is always best, though. I'll take pictures in a little bit and throw them up for sure though!

looks like I can revert back to stock soon thanks to dark. if you want to hear this system in person get with me sometime in the next week, in the mean time I will work on finding a quality source to record audio.
I had my car up in the air on Sat and was able to visually inspect the exhaust from underneath - nothing is scraped, it's all pristine! I took pictures.
.. my cats on the other hand, yeah, that's what I scratched up on some speed bumps. :[
Have had a few vaguely interested on the forums and had two from craigslist. no ones commited yet. I'd like interested parties to check it out in person so I can throw my stock exhaust on. I'll probably give it another week or two before swapping it and start offering to non locals by Feb.

ok. but these next couple of weeks are gonna be crazy for me outside of just school. i'm leaving for cali saturday and get back tuesday, and go back to cali thursday and come back sunday
I've decided to stick with a stock set up and just outright sell this one. Hit me up if anyone would like to check out the exhaust in person. 450$ for forum members, 500 for CL people. : ]
