close to 20 hours in now and have the asuka style air vent about completed. came out looking nearly exactly the same. should look good when all the paint is on.
Nice work! Before you finish though, is there a way to make the outer (L/R) parts of the custom vent openings wider, to line up with the line on the bumper (where it slopes down/inward diagonally). It looks like that on the Asuka bumper. Hopefully that makes some sense.

i see what your saying. the inside angle of the vertex does line up pretty close with the lower edge of the upper opening. if you look at the front view and expand it, you can see the intercooler through the upper hole. only wanted it to be roughly the size i needed, and it fits the intercooler good.
and ya, to change it now and go an inch or 2 wider on each side would take awhile to do and blend in.

Looks like it does go past the ends of the FMIC, which was the point, so totally functional. I was just speaking from an aesthetic standpoint, since once it's painted it wouldn't be worth it to go back, but sounds like it's already too late to make any changes. Looks great as is, too.

couple pics of it "dressed in suede!" atleast now one color it starts to come together. think i like! made the splitter today also, gunna wait till the primer cures then fit it. gunna use 1/4" pvc this time, instead of 1/8", and sharpen the front edge. any road kill i hit now will get sliced and diced
