I'm going... Wife wants to check out wild waves and since admission is $50 for the show and you get 2 wild wave passes... that is way cheaper than dishing out over $70 for 2 adult tickets.

FYI.. if anyone needs to purchase tickets into wild waves, you can get them for only $21/each at some of the seattle area community centers. Good any day through Sept 7th. They do a fundraiser every year that benefits their teen programs. Will save you like $15-16 a ticket. Here's the community centers that are offering tickets:

Green Lake Community Center
(206) 684-0780

North Gate Community Center
(206) 386-4283

Rainier Beach Community Center
(206) 386-1925

Southwest Community Center
(206) 684-7438

Yesler Community Center
(206) 386-1245

Registering for the show is I believe $50 and includes admission for 2 people. So if you can't get registered, but would like to enjoy the show/venue..this is the least expensive way to go. For anyone out of the seattle area, you can also save by purchasing your tickets off of the wildwaves.com website for $28.99 + tax general admission.

$50 + $21 + $21 = $92

$92 - $70 = $22

Unless I'm terrible at math, that's a $22 more expensive way to go.

WHAT.. HUH?!?!

$50 = registration + INCLUDES entrance for driver & guest into wild waves

$42 (21+21) = 2 general admission tickets into wild waves purchased through a seattle community center.

$74 (37+37) = the regular price for 2 general admission tickets at the gate.

So..For all the nonaccountants: Register car & pay $50 (gets 2 people in), buy admission at gate for $74 ($37 each for 2 people) OR pay $42 ($21 each through fundraiser).

So if you can't or don't wish to register your car but still want to get into wild waves, you'd save $32 on two tickets through the fundraiser.

Ahhh, I see. The way you had said it is maybe a bit convoluted, and I understood it as it was $50 to register for the home show where you could get Wild Waves tickets for $21 each.

That makes more sense.

Lightbulb

ahh... well glad it makes sense to you now

You can also get group discounts for the admission into wild waves. On the website it says for groups of 12 or more it's 19.99/each (if bought at least 2 weeks in advance) or 24.99/each (if less than 2 weeks).
But I've had a friend that has gone there at least twice this month. And she said they told her at the ticket counter that for groups of 10 or more it's like $10-11/each, and no mention of having to buy in advance.

So if anyone wishes to get the group discount, I'd recommend calling the park and see what the rates actually are.

Can't wait to see all of the cars from here that are registered Should be an awesome show!!
