I bet a working stereo would have made it less boring no?

Ferndale is about an hour and a half north of Bellevue.

Roll out from Sonic is at 10:00 with people getting there around 9:00. I'm assuming we want some time to eat, so getting there around 9:15ish sounds good to me.

I propose 7:00-7:15 meet up at Joe's, roll out at 7:45.

That gives us time to hang out, wait for stragglers, get coffee, gas, etc.

Thoughts?

Hm, and now I'm hearing that lots of folks aren't going predicated on rain, which is supposed to last all day.

Sounds like a canceled event. d'oh!

Well, this is what I'm getting...

COOL WET WEATHER WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY AND INTO LABOR DAY WITH POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITIONS IN THE MOUNTAINS...
A DEEP UPPER TROUGH WILL BRING SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION AND UNSEASONABLY COOL TEMPERATURES TO WESTERN WASHINGTON THROUGH SUNDAY AND INTO LABOR DAY.

BANDS OF SHOWERS WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN WASHINGTON LATER TONIGHT AND BRING SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS THROUGH SUNDAY AS THE UPPER TROUGH MOVES INLAND. SHOWERS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS AND BREEZY CONDITIONS... AND TEMPERATURES WILL BE WELL BELOW NORMAL. SHOWERS WILL LINGER INTO LABOR DAY AND TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN WELL BELOW NORMAL.

THIS WEATHER PATTERN WILL HAVE THE GREATEST IMPACT ON THE MOUNTAIN BACKCOUNTRY... AND PEOPLE PLANNING TRIPS THERE SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS COLD AND WET WEATHER.

THE SNOW LEVEL WILL FALL TO AROUND 6000 FEET BY SUNDAY... AND ONE TO TWO FEET OF NEW SNOWFALL IS LIKELY ABOVE THE SNOW LEVEL. WINDS OF 25 TO 40 MPH SHOULD BE EXPECTED ON HIGHER EXPOSED RIDGES AND SLOPES...
AND THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. DAYTIME TEMPERATURES ABOVE 4000 FEET WILL REMAIN BELOW 50 DEGREES.

PRECIPITATION WILL BE LESS HEAVY ON LABOR DAY BUT THE SNOW LEVEL WILL REMAIN AROUND 6000 FEET AND TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN COOL.

MSN Weather says...

Mt.Baker Ski Area...Day: Scattered Thunderstorms. High 42F. Winds S at 10 mph. Air Quality: Good, UV Index: 2
20%
Night: Showers. Low 36F. Winds SW at 8 mph.
60%

Well I'd still go as long as everyone else is going. A lil rain won't hurt, we're not made of sugar and spice...

With a 20% chance of precip @ Mt Baker....I'm betting it won't be too bad tomorrow.

Haven't heard any changes in plans from the OP at all.
