Default First Z and yeah it's a Nismo

Hello Everyone...I am new to the site. A new buddy of mine put me onto the site. I have to make sure and thank JJ next time I see him.

I purchased a new '08 Black Nismo several months ago. It took me four months of haggling with the Sales Manager but I finally got the price I wanted. It's my first Z and I have to say this car is the $hit. I first fell in love with Z's when I first came out to Oregon and saw a Stillen on the showroom floor back around '95.

I saw a red 350Z Nismo at the Oregon Auto show last year and I was like this thing is sick...The Sales Manager said he had a black one and I should come down and take a look. Several days later I decide to drive down and check it out. It was night time the dealership repair garage is huge and it was empty. He had a Black Nismo, head lights on, engine humming, driver door open, with the body all glistening with water because it rained earlier. Let's just say when I saw the ride I almost bust a nut.

Anyway I love the car...I am hoping I can find other Portland Oregon Z owners to hook up with and learn more about the car and the Z pedigree. If anyone knows of events or shows please holler back.

Congrats on the purchase. There's not much in the way of events anymore since we're coming up on the end of Summer. But I'm down to meet up and talk cars pretty much any time.

I live out in Tigard...

I agree with Alvin...Some of these dealerships are over pricing the car. I stuck to my guns and got the car for dirt cheap. At the time I made my purchase every auto dealership in America was losing money. The US manufacturers had just announced the list of shops they had to close down. Honda, Toyota and Nissan announced horrible earnings. Can you say "Buyers Market".

Even now if you want a 350 Nismo you can still get a ridiculously low price.

Anyway I love the car and the only thing I want to add are Nismo cold air intakes. Everything else on the car is Nismo so I figured I would stay true.

I guess I will have to wait for next summer's get togethers.

Thanks for all of the positive responses...This is defintely a mad tight site.

dont get dazzled by the nismo emblems when it comes to additional aftermarket parts! the nismo intakes are not the best, i would venture to say they are not good at all! i have been through couple of intake systems and the best so far is injen TRUE CAI! If you decide to buy intakes do some research. If you want to get some good power, just get it tuned. I have a full bolt on HR (same motor as yours) tuned for 100 octane by technosquare. I can guarantee you a tune will do whole much than any other mods
