Ooomph. Marquette just in time for winter. You know that car will be useless there, right?

 

wont be useless with the wheel and tire set up I got... 17" wheels with Blissak ice/snow tires and a $400 dollar set of low profile tire cable type things made by Thule

 

It'll still be pretty damn close to useless. I don't know your background or anything, but I grew up in Michigan and have spent several winters in the upper peninsula. It gets pretty rough up there.

 

I lived in Michigan for 2 years near Adrian.. I know it gets bad just hoping I can get around in it long enough til I can buy another car or truck

Yeah, I really don't think that the blizzaks will help the situation up there. It's not so much that you're driving in the snow as it is how much snow you're driving in.

Depending on when you're going, it may be worth looking for an old jeep/truck/suv somewhere in southern Michigan (GR, Lansing, Detroit area) and driving it up. Those things are about to be come hot commodities up there. Orrr... just get a snowmobile. In fact, if you want to move one out there, I believe one of the local members here has one available.
