Default Finished my GF210 Install

I dont really see a big difference visually and I'm sure it's going to feel a bit different now, but I finally had the time to swap them out.

The first front one was a total PITA....Took about 2 1/2 hrs just trying to figure out this and that. Made a bunch of mistakes and having to go back and redo this or that...But I'm a quick learner and got the other front done in about 25min.

Did the rears this morning in about 1/2 hr..that includes putting all the tools away.

so here's a before / after shot for ya.

Before

After

I read something about letting it settle for a week and then get an alignment...Don't know if the drop will be any more noticable....and I may consider the rear spring mount mod...we'll see.

Enjoy!!

I may not have the schooling, but I gotz skillz.
If I don't know how to do it, I'll learn one way or the other.

Spacers are in the works.
going for 25mm rear, 20mm front.

If needed, Sam Elloiot will just have to learn how to roll his fenders too...............besides, I can always use a new tool to add to the collection.

^^ lol, never doubt you! As far as rolling fenders go, a good baseball bat would do it. However, you will make a lot of new friends if you buy the rolling tool.

Whaaat!!!!
No way!

I prefer to use the human face, it doesn't scratch the clear coat that way.
But you must remember to remove the teeth prior to rolling the fenders.

You'll have to let me know how they settle and how it rides, I am thinking either the GF210's or NF210's...

yeah hopefully it settles nice, cuz a little lower would be perfect man.

Definately feels different. A bit stiffer ride. I like it. Feel a whole lotta shakin' goin' on when I get to the railroad tracks tho....have to learn to slow down a bit more going over them.

We may have to set up a KK meet on Sunday or something. Havent had anything since Travis left town. I could let you take it for a spin to feel it up for a few....heh heh.

I'll add a new pic in a few dayz to see if there is any more of a difference visually.

Do you think you'll need a camber kit to keep your tires safe?

^^^
From what I gather a 1" drop is about the maximum you can go before needing a camber kit.

The GF210 is 1" front, 1.2" rear....I may be safe enough to not need one.

However...If I proceed with the rear springmount mod to get another 1/2" lower, I would probably have to get a rear kit.

I'm also thinking about having this done to extend a little more life from my tires too.

Wait for them to settle in then get an alignment. I would wait about a week or two? I have NF210's and it took about two weeks ish (maybe a little less) for them to settle in. Car is going to look great with spacers!!! I like the look of 06+ stockers slammed w/ spacers. How's the ride on the GF's? I know Travis has GF210's on his car, and side by side his car was a little lower then mine (specially the front). This I don't really get it because "technically" the NF210's are supposed to offer a lower drop.

I would get the lifetime unlimited alignment thing at Firestone. That's what I got and every time my alignments off I can just go get an alignment done for free! Definitely worth the extra bucks.

EDIT: hmmm. I'm really starting to like that Orange. I liked it before, but I'm starting to love it.

It should hopefully get lower later on as the springs settle. I think you'll be fine. All you really need now are some wheels and a nice kit. Now you're the second lowered Orange Z around here!

Well....these tires are almost done....unless I flip them to get a little more time from the un-worn part of the tire.
I guess I will have to really consider camber kits for the long haul.

Now if I can just find orange parts to match the car.....or red to match the springs.

Who was the 1st lowered Orange z?

EDIT: Yeah haulinz is right, I suggest camber kits as well. It'll help you big time in the long run.

"Some settling of contents may occur during shipment."

After two days of driving around town, some short sprints down the freeway, some of the rough uneven roads in downtown Tacoma...It's starting to look different to me. I love the way it feels now. And just dieing to get some spacers on it.

Also scraped the chin spoiler pulling into my driveway for the first time....oops.

New Pic...
