thoughts?
the 700 TT kit is 8k +3k for install and tune, the comepletely built/forged DE motor is 18k +3k for install etc and it was pulled from a totalled car (slid out and mashed the car in the rear bumper, not sure if its the coma guy or not) but if i went with the DE would end up saving 10k in the long run but it is a DE so idk, inclined to stick with the hr and TT it and build it later on
Bob told me about this motor, wish I had the money to purchase... Sound's like a good deal to me? Just buy the motor, and slowly build it while it's out of it's shell, since you already have a motor in the car.. A lot easier to build a motor when it's out of it's shell. That's at least what I would do.

Not required, no, but good to have. At least in the case of the turbo timer. The boost controller is definitely not required.
Still curious about the gauges.
so... maybe i missed it in all the rest of the price talk but how much is that de with the aps tt? i've got my 03z and am looking for exactly that. and the revups ARE indeed the way to go, esp the HR. i was hoping it was going to be feasable to do an HR swap into my car but with the money i'd spend on the new harness and ecu and such i'd get more out of my DE then any of the stock HR's provide, so i was sad. i also have a VQ37VHR sitting in my garage gathering dust, which also makes me sad. man i feel kinda manic and have a feeling this is a really irritating post.
to the point, i want that aps tt kit and de block... can you point me towards it, can you give me any info?

i'd have to know more to be completely sure but 18k sounds pretty high. the aps extreme tt costs about 9k new and you can build an all forged internal, sleeved, DE for about the same; also new. so why is it still 18k after being used? is that an installed fully tuned price? what all does this block have? and is it the extreme TT system WITH the fuel system and everything? also you're not going to be able to really tune the car with the aps extreme kit with the cobb access port piggy back, im not too familiar with all cobb products but what is he using to tune that? i'd think you'd need a full piggy back or rather a standalone capable ems as a piggy back/parallel engine management.

believe its a aluminum block aswell didnt look at it so i couldnt say for sure, has exedy clutch and flywheel and a carbonfiber drive line that comes with it aswell, i didnt ask about the ems with the the built DE but he said it had something with it already so im assuming osiris? he said they outsourced the ems system when they did the build for the dude. engine has 1800 miles on it and only 150 with the boost above 9 psi
