Default COBB Tuning Surgeline at PIR Friday Night Drags

Over the weekend, COBB Tuning Surgeline attended the opening night of drags at PIR hosted by the Friends of PIR. We brought along our 2009 GT-R and fully expected and hoped to get kicked off the track. Since the vast majority of our GT-R customers are now banned from most of the drag strips in the United States, we figured this would be no problem. However, poor traction due to a combination of a green and ill-prepared track and completely shot stock tires, conspired to only allowing us to run a measly 11.5-second quarter mile. Driver and head GT-R calibrator, Tim Bailey, reported excessive tire spin... in 3rd gear. With over 570whp on tap thanks to E85 tuning, we will be looking for stickier tires and the consistency of the Woodburn drag strip to get Tim posted to the NHRA's black list.

Why would you be banned. To fast and no cage?
