Default Considering a rebuild...

I'm thinking about buying a used turbo for rebuild- I like taking broken stuff and making it work again... The issue I am running into is if it is worth doing, or just something not worth the time. There is a garrett T4 turbo for sale on CL for 100 bucks that leaks oil, while that could be an easy fix, I'm wondering if it could possibly be a lost cause. Any thoughts?

the question is.. do you really enjoy fixing broken/unknown parts, or do you like the idea of saving money? if it's to save money I wouldn't mess with it.

what do you plan on doing with the turbo after you fix it? cause if you plan on putting it on your car, the turbo is just the tip of the iceburg...

Yes, I will install it after I rebuild a turbo, I can fabricate all the piping needed, of course I know I'll still need to buy headers, and an intercooler- but right now, its going to be a step by step thing- first thing is first, Turbo... either cheap used, or busted old (for rebuild).
