Default Northwest Nissan meet @ Golden Gardens park

Northwest Nissan Meet

DATE: Saturday, March 20th, 2004
TIME: 10am
LOCATION: Golden Gardens Park, Seattle, WA

Well guys, I think it's that time of year again. For those of you who attended last year, you know how sweet the turn out was. In fact, it was the biggest NWN meet to date! Well, we're doing it again this year and hope to make it even bigger and better!

The meet will begin at 10am and we'll start grilling at 11am. All those planning to attend, please confirm EVERY person coming with you so that we can make sure there is enough food for everyone. I would prefer that everyone PM their confirmation to me so that we can keep this thread open for discussion and planning of the meet only. If you plan on attending and you will not be eating, then specify that as well so that we don't overestimate. Food will more than likely be $5 again this year (no more than that, of course), but the price will be updated for certain at a later date.

If you've got any extra car parts lying around that you want to get a couple of bucks for then bring them with you and we can have a mini swap meet as well. Also, there is a volleyball court, basketball court and plenty of room to play football, etc so bring some sport ***** so that we can play around.

If you want to see some pics of the park click here:

DIRECTIONS-

I-5 Northbound or Southbound:

-Take exit to 85th St and head west (This exit is just a few miles North of downton Seattle).
-You'll pass many shopping centers and go through a residential area.
-Keep following 85th West to dead end at the bluff.
-Take a right turn and go downhill .
-Go under the railroad tracks and arrive at the entrance of the park.
-The park will be off to the right hand side.

Jay and I came over last year. We didnt stay and attend the NWN meet tho. We went with the other 350's and went else where.

I dont know if you guys wanna do somthing like that again or what. It was pretty cool to meet up and drive into the park together. Could be a fun time again.

hmm yah that was fun, I remember the skyline showing off then a hose coming off and a mushroom cloud of steam. My internal dialog shouted "OWNED" but I still wanted his car

the G35 club will be meeting at Northgate around 11 a.m. and then leaving at 11:15 to roll down to the park together. It'd be great if you 350z's could join us.

I would be up for that. Anyone else planning on going?

Jay and I will probably be driving over early in the morning.

I want to meet up with the G35 brothers out there. We might find some other type of entertainment to do after some time at Golden Gardens. Last year we went to the brewery for lunch and beer.

Default meeting up early

From the northwest nissan forums, I know that a bunch of eastsiders are meeting at larry's market in bellevue at 9am then heading over in a caravan. Me and a friend with a 300zx will be going from there.

if you guys can let us know definitely the day before the meet so that we will wait for you guys all the way til 11:15 then that would be great

we usually feel a little out of place at Nissan meets so rolling in with some 350's would be cool

I will post next week where at Northgate we will be meeting at

Last year we all took off and went to lunch in issaquah....anyone have an opinion about sticking around for lunch at the park, or taking off for a 350Z lunch again?

I vote for taking off but just depends on the crowd thats there, A meet with the G35/350Z folk at another location after we make an appearance at Golden Gardens would be fine with me. Too many young kids with 240sx's with the sr20det swaps is not my crowd. I would prefer a microbrew with lunch/waiter over a barbque.

I'd be able to make this, too. Only problem is, I'm flying in from Detroit on Thursday night, and my weekend is already filled up with all of the people I've got to see while I'm home.

If you guys get some specifics together on a Z-specific part of the day, please let me know and I'll try to fit it in. It would be great to see you guys again before I depart with my Z for Detroit this summer.

Jay - if you're listening...Bachelor Party in Vegas from May 20-23. Let me know if you want to come enjoy the women, booze, and table games that go along with a party in Vegas. Oh, and did I mention one of my buddies got me a Bentley Continental GT to drive while I'm there?

If you guys can, try to make our Z-type meeting later in the day. I'm pretty sure that I would have a better chance of making it during that time than earlier.

Jonn:
Count me in for the meet. I live in Redmond if anybody wants to caravan over to the park. I hope it will be a nice day, but if not, is there a place undercover to cook and eat? I might meet with some of the guys at Larry's in Bellevlue if I see more posts from the people going to meet there. Thanks for setting this up for all of us.

We will be in the south parking lot by JC Penneys at 11 a.m. and leaving for the park at 11:15. I am compiling a list of G35 attendees and their mods, if anyone wants a copy of the email, email us at NW_G35(at)hotmail.com

replace the (at) with @, just watching out for web crawlers...

I'm down for eating elsewhere other than the park but if you guys have any suggestions, go ahead and lock down a place so that we can make sure we'll have enough parking and seating
