Default tire problem

So yesterday, my TPM sensor went off. The pressure had gotten below 28PSI in one tire, and the others were pretty low as well. I guess that just happens in cold weather. I went and pumped air back into the tires.

After dinner, though, one of the tires was still significantly lower than the others. I had pumped all of them up to about 37PSI, but after dinner, my rear right tire was down to 32PSI. And then later last night it went down to 24PSI. I refilled it to about 35PSI. This morning, it was down to 28PSI.

I've refilled it, but I think there's a leak. Does anyone have an old stock rear tire they're willing to part with? Or should I just try to take it to a tire shop for a patch?

similiar thing happened to me, found a giant nail in mine after the second fillup. took it to a tire place they patched the tire and no problems since. i think that would be the best thing to do...how it is just my $.02.

If it's a nail, you can plug the hole yourself. The kit is like $5 and it just takes a little elbow grease to plug it. I've done it several times on my old car.

However, I've read that patching or plugging the tire will compromise the performance of that tire. For daily driving, it will be perfectly fine, but if you plan on pushing your tires, you may want to think about replacing it.

I actually got it patched at America's Tire Company on Stevens Creek. I don't really push my tires, so I should be okay. Firestone didn't want to repair it, because it's a performance tire; but I think they just wanted to sell me a brand new tires.

Thanks though, guys.
