Maybe it has something to do with them working on the weekend. At any rate $40 is pretty cheap.

Look at cquence's post. That should answer why I need payment now and not later.

cquence,
No problem, I'll take you off the list.
Anybody else who can't make it? Let me know now, or pay up

FYI:

Payment is being requested up front to ensure you show up.

We all know how internet forums are. People say they are interested or will go, but end up flaking if they have nothing at stake.

We organized a very successful dyno day last year, again requesting a deposit up front. Guess what? Everyone who paid showed up.

That's cool.

I had all intentions of being there...I need to check my a/f ratio anyway. But I don't feel like sending cash to someone on the boards just to show that I'm going to be there. I prefer to just pay the shop when I'm @ the event. The group discount here is minimal anyway...I'll just go when the time is best for me.

no prob tunaroll

i do hope you understand why we request payment upfront.

the discount is minimal at best, but for me, it's more about checking out other cars and mtg other people. the dyno day is just another excuse to drive the G

sundawg and dxgary77,

Please respond to my PMs. We have extra people who already sent in their payments. I need to know whether to refund them or take you off the list.

Guys, FFS reply to my PMs.

I need to know if you're going or not. We're allocating times.
