Shattered pelvis last 2 Sat ago . . . delay in the rosters
The recent months just has not been good for me. There's going to be a delay on those rosters because I'm not up to doing them for a while.
Feb 12 was a gorgeous day for boarding and at one of the parks of Heavenly, I took a jump that launched me 18-20 feet up in the air and basically I landed flat on my back and lower back. Thus shattering my pelvis and where the femur head punched through the hip socket.
Long story short(unles you want more details and pics of the mid aid jump) I was in 2 hospitals for 9 days, finally back home and recovering. Non weight bearing for 6 weeks on the left leg and a titanium plate with 5 screews in my hip. Full recovery is around 4 months.
This means I can't drive Audrey but at the same time she's stuck at Cook's Collision since I brought her back the Friday before going boarding to have them fix up some of the leftover issues from the car accident last Nov. I still have to make arrangements to pick her up.
It's awfully painful and pain meds are my best friend. Hip injuries are one of the worst. I guess this is a warning to just be safe with driving and sports. We don't heal as fast as we used to as kids.
