about 20 cars at my house. I guess we are stopping by Tracy to pick up 3-4 cars. We should all meet at my house still. Then we going to head out together. I will post up directions soon.

 

Directions:

Take I-5 north to the airport, then there should be a split from I-5 and CA-99. You would take 99 to Marysville/Yuba city. take the first exit, should be Elkhorn Blvd and make a right. Then make a right at the first light, which is Northborough. Follow the road and make a left at Macon Way. Should be like 5 streets down. 2639 Macon Way, 95835 should be the 5 house on the left hand side. If you get lost or need more info, my cell is 916-838-1581. Looking forward, Tim

Everyone should print out directions to RR and from RR to TI. With 100+ cars, someone will bound to get lost somewhere with the Bay area traffic!

 

UPDATE:

Hey guys the time to get to my house would be 8:00 AM. this will insure that we get everyone there and give us some time to get to San Mateo without speeding. We will leave my house between 8:30-8:50 AM.

For people in the Tracy, Stockton, and Lodi area, the meeting spot will be West Valley mall (I think thats what its called) in Tracy. Pm me your number so I can contact you! make sure you get there by 10:00AM. That should give us some time to make it to San Mateo in time. It is always good to be there early just in case.

I hear there is major construction going on on the Bay Bridge. Some folks I've talked to said it is hell and gridlock everyday. Do you think this may cause havoc trying to get to TI? I've talked to some relatives and they told me it took them an hour and a half just to get across the bridge. Six lanes cut down to two. Only one exit getting off the bridge. Can't see sitting in traffic for that long. Looks like there will a Giants home game as well.

 

SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND BAY BRIDGE RAMP AND LANE CLOSURES SEPTEMBER 16-19, SEPTEMBER 23-26 AND SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 3

As part of its West Approach Seismic Retrofit Project, Caltrans will perform major demolition work in the eastbound and westbound directions of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge (I-80). This will require several lanes and ramps to be closed September 16-19. Motorists leaving San Francisco via the Bay Bridge during these weekends should expect delays.
Traffic delays are expected while motorists become familiar with the new alignment. Once traffic has been shifted Caltrans will continue to prepare for major demolition activities scheduled for 3 consecutive weekends beginning September 16, 2005.

 

Damn, that is going to suck. But good thing its a Sunday. We should get less comuter since most people are off.

 

FYI Everyone
Looks like there may be some back tracking from San Mateo to TI. Won't be able to come from US 101 South.

This weekend during this demolition operation, motorists traveling to Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island from San Francisco must take alternate bridges and enter the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge from the Oakland side.

 

Someone stop this guy !!! we do not need all this please people we know about the bridge,& we will expose any possible problem. All relax it will be handled.

I'm not trying to deter folks from going just trying to be helpful to our fellow Z'rs so they can be aware. This info is from Caltrans not made up. There may be folks coming from South US 101 and some from the Golden Gate side. That's all.

If it's not going to affect you why should you be concern?
