Default Anybody willing to install Stoptech Stage 2? Bay Area.

How much would it cost?

I'm really considering upgrading and my brakes are pretty much dying at the moment.

so, a quote from anyone?

Where in NorCal are you located? If you're close to San Jose, I'd recommend going to ZCarGarage . Talk to Rob & tell him James sent you.

Hmm? Not too sure of a place near SF. You can try referring to this list though & see if anything works for you:

Perhaps one of the SF folks will chime in with a recommendation. Good luck!

any garage could install it for about $50. I don't see the point of spending hundreds for brake installation.

I had my BBK installed by the shop next to Scoot Performance for $50.

Alex-
Which BBK did you buy? I was going to have Rob install Stoptechs but he says they're on backorder.

check with Coz@CZP. They sell the front 14" for $1950 shipped or give Tom at Gruppy-S in hayward, he has the same price matching too.

Alex, I don't think they want you to advertise these prices. They may get in trouble.

Those are damn good prices, I am going to have a talk with my friend Chad now........ JKD!!

before i go ahead and buy the Stage 2 stuff (here ), I want to ask you guys if you think it's a good idea. My breaks are about to give up and i can either just go and get them redone or upgrade. I put about 400 miles a week on the freeway and dont race too often (tickets and all), oh and i'm also getting some 19" Maya DTMs

F: 19x9
R: 19x10.5

So if you guys do think i should go for it, could there be any potential problems with fitment?

I think it's a good alternative to upgrading your brakes if you don't have the cash for BBK's. I actually have this kit myself & I'm running on 20's! They work great for my needs now until I can save up for at least a front BBK. As far as the shops, I don't trust anyone working on my car but ZCG. The main thing with them is they absolutely guarantee their work so if you ever run into problems, they will make it right unlike some other shops out there that will give you the run around after they get your cash. So I'd find a shop with that type of reputation. Just my .02 cents...

SP charges me $50 to recheck the exhaust when it makes noise. They sold me the exhaust and installed. ( i assume all work should have at least one year warranty).

How about to make sure you stop and don't get killed! Brakes aren't tires you cant just slap em on and call it a day. I take my car to ZCG because they treat it as their own car. They spend the time to look over everything and they may be slightly more expensive than other shops some times but its worth it and like GTNPU Z said they guarantee their work. I value my life enough to justify it. Just FYI.

For 50bucks thats a steal, I hope they are really maticulous cuz your car is awesome, that kind of detail shouldn't be skimped on a $50 brake install.
