Good run, plenty of turns, curves, and sounds from the exhaust. Nice drive home, that was a good looking S2000 that ran with us. Definitely new modle, wider, lower, and good paint job (color). Phu we'll have to put together the 17mi run with the Pacific Coast, Lover's Lane, and I'll also look into a spot here in town to start it, that will be, as I would say, "On a grandstand audience view". Got one in mine now and plan to check into the owner about it, hopefully this week or next. I think mid December would be a good time for people to plan ahead, possibly December 17th (a Saturday) as a tentative date. This is speculation now, but pre-planning should do it justice. I'll see about the starting point here first and then give you a call. You got the area there pretty good, and we could get Mike involved since he's out there also.

i'm down for whatever....i should be able to get the day off...depending on how many people wanna cruz through 17 mi. dr. i could probably get most of them in for free. been really busy past couple of weeks ...so i have'nt had any time for cruising. i'll keep checkin for updates!

My car won't be healthy till late in the afternoon. Got a rock chip in the windshield last Saturday and they are coming to my house to take care of it. Talking about door to door service. Guess I'm out this weekend.
Got a sponsor here for the Dec 17th planning state already, owner of all the "MY" dealershers, sent him an email and he is already contacted the location and they have already told me - it's a go. This is good. Emailed last night and the location was called early this morning and I was told it's a go, that I'm being represented all the way.... This is a cool start. Also got to make a couple other contacts and got another 300ZX to join us too. So we are growing, getting sponsor's, blah blah balh. Will keep you all posted....

 

Sponsor for what? I thought we just doing a simply run to enjoy our Z and the road? Of course we'll invite anyone and everyone but are we trying to make this too complicated? Maybe we should get a a gas station to sponsor us and get some free gas!

 

I'm down for whatever you guys decide to do.

 

A place to have everybody meet, get the word out, get more local Z's involved, grow some here locally, and have more runs from local area, like Big Sur, Pebble Beach, etc. Presently we go up north, this will give a chance to have north visit here and see some of the area, such as Big Sur, Pebble Beach, Simi Valley, Monterey beach line, Cannery Row, etc. and get some picture adveritising to promote the local area Z cars, all types/models. Its free publicity for the Z's and good way to get more involvement with more of the Z's around here locally. Everyboy likes pictures on the runs, if they get in the newspaper too, I think it is good for us. Of course there will be more to it per sey down the road. This is also a good route to get good deals on mods for cars, discounts, etc. for future plans. Nothing complicated to it, I've already done all the leg work, the approval, and a good starting place for picture taking, etc before the run.

Warren, check your pm, been trying to call you. We meeting tomorrow (sunday the 4th at 1pm at star market for a run. Just checking out new routes even though I think we should use the one David showed us.

 

Telephone temporarily out of order- will be up tomorrow. But I doubt if can make it Sundday. We're working on a Christmas program for my wife's class (room). Fixing up, teaching the kids (little ones) to sing "Away in a Manger" for the Sunday Christmas Program for the church (Dec 25th - Morning). So we'll probably miss out on the run, which is a bummer, as we want to test out these new radio's (10 mile max) to see just what they can do. The 2 mile ones work okay, the 5 mile work much better, but we want to test these out too. At the moment we are jumping through the hoops at the church, that's where we were today, if my phone is charged up and working, I'll give you a call.

Well....I call it Rainy Salinas, or Rainer Monterey now...Nothing been happening around here as of late, or up North too much. Due to working on Sat's, even today (Holiday), just got home around 5:00pm., not much time to do anything. Winters are actually the busy time at work. Anyway, welcome back. We should (locals) get together for a Sat morning breakfast soon. By the way, there's a new restrauant in town, North Main by corner of Alvin & N Main St. Name's Sakura Seafood Buffet. Check it out....My wife and I went there Monday for my birthday. Not bad.
