Default Nov. 19th NorCal South Bay Run

Lets do something down here.

We could do Mt. Hamilton again but I'll start looking at the maps and see what I can come up with. Maybe we can come up with something fun and fresh.

What do you guys think?

I got a fresh route in mind probably about 100-150miles roundtrip maybe. I'll draw it up. I think it would be cool.

I don't know the exact route but this is sort of the route. I couldn't find any maps to map it out. I will have to look on my hard copy map. This might suck for the South south bayers.

Meet up in SJ at either capitol and 87 blockbuster, albertsons, and taco bell parking lot, church parking lot across from 100 oct 76 station. Go out Almaden express way south then go either down blossom hill to Santa Theresa or down Almaden through the hills around Chesbro out to morgan hill and get back to Santa Theresa. Or even all the way down Capitol to 101 then back over to Bailey if you can take the over pass over the railroad tracks. Or get off 101 to Bernal onto Monterey, then onto Bailey to Santa Theresa.

Then get to 152 W Mt. Madonna or Hecker pass. Take that and go into Watsonville. Now this is where im confused. But there is a road that will take you back to 17 and then we can find a place to meet there. Then head back down 17 to 280 and maybe crash Santana Row and go to the Roof and conclude the meet.

Imagine the look on all the peeps face when 100 Z's or so come rolling thru..

What do you think. I like the road up hecker pass, its pretty curvy. Won't take 30 min of just turns and allows for a lil speed on the way. What do yal think?

barthelb, lets keep this in perspective, we might get 20 if we are lucky, there just is not enough time to build up a large group in only a few weeks.

Another thing we might want to consider when coming up with a starting point is what the traffic will be like and how difficult it will be to stay together. Just picture trying to get thought Almaden and Blossom as one group.

On to the good stuff, I just drove Santa Teresa, Baily, McKean, Uvas, Hecker Pass last weekend. The roads are in good shape and parts have been repaved (read, smooth as butter) over most of Mt. Madonna. It's a good drive over all, it's how I get to Laguna Seca.

I was thinking about the traffic and since we usually get out around 9am, I think we would be okay. We have a couple rain systems coming in so we would definitely have to dodge those as i wouldn't want anyone to have any problems.

Thats a fun route, so why dont we get a date thats good with the weather and people, even if the 19th isn't doable.
