The drive SUCKED!! Had some interesting encounters tho...
Firstly, it rained all the way through until I hit the NorCal border...and there was SNOW on I-5!!! wtf...no snow in canada, no snow in washington, no snow in oregon, but cali??? But it was a little floody around the portland area tho...that sucked when my car kept hydroplaning... And through the 50 miles of light snow in NorCal, I was driving like 40...and being passed by all the trucks probably thinking my gauges are too rice......
And DAMN...the last hour of the drive was more stressful than all 16 previous hours added together!! Once I hit the Bay area, the traffic...was just...wayyyyyyyy too fast paced. And I hit the toll booth before the SF bridge and all the lanes were scattered everywhere, and I didn't even expect it! I tried to grab out my wallet as fast as I could, and my money was scattered everywhere!! And didn't even have time to pick it up or even place my wallet back into my pocket!! Had to take off right after I paid the 3 bux cuz everyone were lining up, and I couldn't even drive casually even if I wanted to!! My bov kept going psshhh psshhhhh through every shift, and I looked to my left, and there was a granny driving a minivan, holding a cup of something (probably coffee or juice) passing me!! Damn...how do you guys drive here without FI?? I felt like a slow a$$ retard cuz I had to keep watching my nav... Geez... Anyways just glad I got here and now resting in my hotel room...

Oh another funny story... On the drive here, somewhere near Seattle, on the highway, this rusted purple crx tried to get me to race him... i was doing about 70 on cruise control, and he just punched it right beside me. So I pushed the "up" switch on my steering wheel, up to about 120, and I was about a car in front of him...LOL...
Welcome! Glad you made it. Man, just by the sound of it, people in Vancouver must drive really slow. LOL. Well, hope to see you in one of our future meets this year. I'm trying to put something together as we speak. What area did you move to anyway? BTW...careful driving around in the San Francisco especially with a body like yours. They're very unforgiving...

Right now my work placed me in a hotel in Mountain View, but I'm looking more into either San Jose or Redwood Shores. I work in Palo Alto, but rent there is wayyyyyyy outta my price range.
Yea I saw today how unforgiving people can be in this area... Thanks for the warnings everyone. I'll try to stay outta the busy places until I get more used to the pace here.
PS...let me know about the meets you guys have! I'd love to finally meet some of you guys!

I'm gonna be running around the area in the next few days...gonna hit up Scottperformance (sp?) on tuesday with throbbing_zon for a retune for my APS TT. On the road, if you see a gunmetal Z, that's me. Honk and say hi! (gunmetal from the dirt.......)

Yeah, renting around the Peninsula is quite pricey. Anywhere in the Bay is actually pricey but I'd say you'll have better luck moving around the South/East Bay. Also, you'll definitely need to get use to the cummute around here. It's not quite the best but it's definitely not like L.A. either.
