Tint & tint removal
Okay... another quick question about tint. I have to remove the old *** ghetto tint that was on the car when I bought it. How does tint removal work? Do they have to disassemble the doors and hatch to do it? I am a little nervous about letting someone do that.
Do they 'steam' it off, or do they scrap it off with a razor? What about the defroster lines... how do they deal with those when removing the tint?

tint remover, smells horrible, but it work decently well, when i had my shop, out tint guy would soak it, start it in the corner with a razor, and start peeling, not all of it will come off at once, but it does work, then some goo gone, and then windex
i have heard other guys pack it with ice to make the tint come off easier, but sounds like a lot of work

I would suggest that you go to a tint shop that is also a detail shop, if you're concerned. They are used to taking extra care with cars. I feel you're pain when it comes to worrying about your baby.
I know that my tint shop frequently removes old tint without any problems.
