Default Thanks!

I know I'm a little late writing to everyone but I just wanted to say thanks for stopping in Tiburon. Although I was only able to stop by the school parking lot briefly (due to another commitment), it was great to meet the group. I just joined the forum and hope to jump into another meet with you guys in the future.

Thanks for posting the photos too!

Soap,

Did you purchase your 350 at San Rafael Nissan? I just got my oil change there, as well as servicing a SRS error, and they were very sharp, very professional. I was just wondering if there sales experience is good there? I used to work at MASA, so back in the day I knew lots of people from that area, but not very many any more.

Thanks for coming out, wish you could've come on the run, it was a blast.

dczoner,

if i remember correctly (and without doing a search), i think it was san rafael nissan that got a lot of jeers from this forum when someone took a picture of a Z on their showroom floor with a $10K markup and the sticker identifying the car as a 350ZX. i think it was early august.

anyway glad to hear you had good service.

HA! It wouldn't surprise me... My buddy works for Team Chevy and they STILL have a markup on their corvettes. . .

Oh well, nothing like gouging those that can afford it right? I honestly don't have any experience with their sales dept. I just wanted to give a heads up on a good service experience. My experience with service departments also includes working for a Mercedes dealership svc. department, so I have a pretty good idea of a "good" experience versus an "acceptable" experience. Prices seemed a little steep though, but the same is true for anything in this damned county...

Ah, back to Southern California on Saturday. Y'all will be missed!

Soap: Good to have you aboard. Your Redline would have looked really nice in our caravan. Next time.

Dczoner: Have a safe trip south. Thanks again for the Marin run. Maybe see you in the summer.

Default SR Nissan Experience

I wish I could've been there too. Luckily, someone posted an awesume video that made it feel like I was right there with you around those turns heading to Stinson. Thanks!

Ouch...it sounds like someone knew of my experience at SR Nissan. Here's my story...it's sad, but true: I've taken my '81 350ZXTT to SR Nissan service for year with great results. Dczoner is right-on with his assessment. Dave and Tom do a great job there servicing Nissan vehicles. Unfortunately, their sales department isn't quite so hot. They tried to stiff me with a big mark-up and deposit. I walked immediately and did a good deal with Serramonte. I was happy with list if I could get exactly what I wanted from the factory. They took no deposit and delivered it in less than 90 days. I was a happy camper!

Bottom line: Service it at SR Nissan. Buy it at Serramonte (to be fair to Serramonte, I haven't tried their service yet).
