nah. I'll make reservations later. That's not a problem. Perks of the job.

it's awesome!!!! I took my GF there when I proposed. By far the best service and food I've ever had. It's supper $$, but I thought it was worth it.

My wife (former GF) and I love eating out, and Gary Danko is still the top place we've been too. The next place we want to go to is French Laundry, which we hear is similar.

I call French laundry a while ago and they only start taking reservation 2 months in advance...but if they're anything like Gary Danko's, it fills up quick.

French Laundry is over rated. I was rather dis-appointed. I'd recommend Aqua, Fifth Floor, or my personal favorite, The Dining Room in Ritz Carlton SF.

damn Gary Danko was awesome. The food was exquisite, and the wine selection is extensive. We got a complimentary amuse bouche from the head chef, and a complimentary dessert to go. Total came out to $1500, but that's including a $500 tip. It's worth every penny.
