so does anyone mountain bike cross country or freeride?

I ride a MTB. Used to ride the Peninsula all the time, mainly Purisima Creek and Skeggs Point. Free Ride is a different story though as the trails up here in Vancouver are fairly insane. Most guys have 8 - 9 inches of travel both front and back and it is pretty much a necessity given the nature of the trails and riding up here. Much more aggressive than anything I've seen in the Bay Area. Doubt I'll get into that scene since it's mainly fitness for me, lpus I hate pushing bikes up hill

I use to ride a while ago but haven't done so in a long while. Use to have a Santa Cruz Superlight w/ XT/XTR components & Fox Shocks. Damn I miss that bike .
