HKS put a lot of time in R&D. Quiet expensive but worth it.

HKS is brand name. Better build quality i would imagine. But Scott performance is the exhuast i have. Even though he never told me how much gain i would expect or the weight of the exhuast, i felt the gains on it. SPz exhaust is a lotta cheaper than the HKS too!

Does anyone know the specs on their exhaust?

Yea exactly.....HkS is brand name, but from the looks of it, the quality looks a lot better than scotts and HKS diameter of their pipes is slightly larger than scotts. Yes granted its more expensive, would anyone still recommend HKS over the SP?

BTW you do know that he sends the car out to a muffler shop to get the exhaust done right? If you were going to go with this why wouldnt you just cut out the middle man and go to a muffler shop?

First off, SP = Scott Performance, not Scotts (that is a bike shop in Glendale, CA)

I like my SP exhaust, no complaints and yes it's loud.

i find the SPz exhaust mated up with high flow or stock cats sounds great from what i heard. I have TP and its loud as ****. Some days i love it some days i dont cuz i just want to cruise and not have to deal with the drone on the freeway at certain RPMs.

as far as diameter of the piping, do you have the specs on the hks as well as the specs for SPz? If i remember correctly, SPz is 2.5"

Hey Marcus,

How's the new ride? As far as exhausts go, both are good choices. HKS is a no brainer- good looks and good quality, but with the SP exhaust, it's custom, so you can specify what diameter pipe you want, where you want the tips to exit, what type of tips, etc. I'm pretty happy with my SP exhaust as far as sound and power.

And yes, Ted specs the designs for the SP exhaust, and has a muffler shop build the exhaust a couple doors down.

Happy with SPs, I'm TT'd, had to put extra resonators to turn volume down a little.

Hello,

We've installed a few of the HKS exhuasts, they have made substantial gains with both NA and FI cars. I've never tested the Scott Perf. system, but I can tell you that the HKS one is a perfect fit evrytime and comes as complete as it could possibly be. The overall quality, just like your fellow Z owners say, is awsome.

Guess you've never seen the Amuse in person and compared the 2.
