Default Pics from Buttonwillow

Hey all,

Just ran the 350 at Buttonwillow, CCW direction with Star Mazda turn last Friday. Outside temp was about 86 degrees, but all in all, it was a fun day. Aside from cording the Hoosier's by the second session and missing the 3rd to swap out, everything ran pretty well. Nonetheless, I highly recommend running with the TEAM Racing guys. A little disorganized at the morning download session, but a TON of track time (I did 6 out of total of 7 sessions that day).

Watching the stats, my oil temp crept as high as 240 degrees, APS IC air temps ran from about 105 degrees to a spike of 120 degrees in the afternoon, and water temp crept up a bit, even with the Koyo radiator. The Z was definitely running strong, getting up into 5th gear on the straights. Anyhow, going to change the oil and check the Z under the lift next week, but so far, 10K+ miles and a few track days - no squeaks and no leaks with the APS kit and stock block.

Some pics from Turn 2...

Nice action pics.

But how come you masked the side reflectors but not your headlights?

Heheh....I knew that would come up sometime.

The headlights are clear armored with the front clip. The side markers are not.

BTW, someone asked, but if anyone runs a search, Scott Performance did the work on the Z.

Haha, yeah, I still lurk around Bruce. Still have the SSR's, and I agree, rims do make a difference, hehe.

I definitely have to see your Z when it's done. Stroker? Man, between yours, Bri's, and Marin's, I keep talking myself out of taking it to the "next" level. Your Z is what got me into this turbo mess in the first place!

It's tough getting out between my work and family obligations lately. Will have to catch up with you again at the next meet. It's been a while.
