Default Skidpad/Autocross center

I was brainstorming with a business partner on things we would use if there were any possibilities. We had considered opening a driving range, but the city beat us to getting the lease on the land. My next words were "How about a driving range where you drive?" I tossed out the idea of a skidpad and autocross center, which we both agreed would be a lot of fun. We'd probably want to have two (2) figure-eight skidpad areas and one or two autocross courses. Two skidpads and autocross courses would allow us to separate beginners from veterans (although maybe you'd need an intermediate level too - if there's space, then sure). There would be instructors there, and we'd need some sort of "driving test" to see where people fall in driving skill.

We'd definitely want an auto-shop around so if anything breaks or wears out, it can be replaced relatively quickly.

There are a vast amount of concerns of course, most of them being safety related. Would you guys trust someone else to be out there on a figure-eight with you? Aside from giving the downhill driver the right of way, I'm not sure how much traffic management is possible.

1) Do any of you know of a place like this that exists?
2) Would you rather take your car out to a place like this, or drive someone else's car? (of course that would make the price much higher)
3) Would you guys go to a place like this with any frequency if one existed?
4) What other concerns would you have?
5) How much would you pay for time on a skidpad? (Initial thoughts were $30 for 15 minutes, or $50 for three 15 minute runs on the same day).
6) How far would you drive to get to a place like this?

Any feedback is appreciated. It's really just a concept; if it were easy to pull off, somebody would have done it already.
