How about the work being done on the Bay Bridge?? Is that going to interfere with the run???

We've been talking about the T.I. run since last year. I can't wait for it to come around again.

Sept 06 is too soon to try and plan a major meet like this one. Besides, we have a Monterey / Pebble Beach run and lunch meet with the Z's and G's on Sept 23rd. It's going to be a very relaxing and very scenic run. The first major Pebble Beach / 17 mile drive Z & G run ever. Hope everyone can attend.

Whenever it is I have no problem gathering up the older Z's to come and I also have no problem helping get a Sac caravan going or at least being apart of the organizing.....if all else fails for the restuarant, I do strongly recommend Hooters in Dublin, they can handle a lot of cars in the back behind the building next door and the offices around it are empty on weekends but I dont know for sure about that just an idea. Also much like last year I imagine not everyone will eat anyways, I know me and my friends didn't bother we stayed outside and snapped pics while everyone else was inside since I know that can be a problem.........we can almost have a breakfast meet at each caravan spot if thats an issue and then go to treasure island.....whatever I dont know, just ideas.

Just and Idea;

Place: Bayhill Shopping Center in the city of San Bruno (one block east of I-280 on San Bruno Ave.)

Amenities: Starbucks, Japanese/Vietnamese/Pizza/Chinese restaurants, Mollie Stone's Supermarket for those who likes sandwiches.

Parking: Lots and lots!!

Time: Start meeting up at 10:00 am and drive to TI at 12:00-12:30 pm.

Day: On a Saturday that's not on the same day as a Giants home game.

^ I don't think that shopping center can hold all of us especially since I know that place always has cars there. In terms of parking size, we need a fairly big lot. Big enough that we can get everyone in & out without disturbing the general public in terms of them doing their daily routine. Plus we need this to be on a Sunday if we're going to have vendors involved since most shops are still open on Saturdays. Byron...check out what I posted on #57 of this thread. That pretty much says it all in terms of what we need to do to get this thing going. It's definitely a large task.

I gotta admit that's close to my house, so I'd be down for a minimeet with a small local group of us if you guys want in!

 

Note: I will set up the Monterey Group, when the plans are finalized for the big event. No problem at this location. Meanwhile, presently doing the Monterey/Pebble Beach run for Sep 23rd with the help of RgtopZ. Good point on working with the locations. It worked great here for the Pebble Beach run, free entrance and meals $15.00 on Pebble beach.
