Houston, I have a problem. I had my 6pot 4pot stoptech kit installed yesterday. But we ran into a snag. My offset in the rear didn't clear the 4piston setup. Not even with a small, safe spacer. So Im gonna have to roll on stock 18's in the rear til I get new rims. Sux cuz i didn't want to spend anymore money on the car right now. I gotta offer these 9.5" rears for a good price so I can sell them. Luckily they are not damaged. Only the pesky surface scratches on the lip.

Did you and Rob discuss changing to longer wheel studs with a 1/2" spacer? It may be a simpler, quicker, and certainly cheaper solution to selling two rears and buying two new ones. Also, you can buff out those surface scratches. If your wheels have a clear coat, treat them like you would paint. Use ScratchX or a light polishing compound on the scratches, then wax.

Thanks for the input scott, we tried these two small spacers but they didn't work. Rob diesn't want to run any thicker spacers but I might have to, I just need to make sure they are safe.

Hey Bruce, I ran into the same problem when I initially ordered the 4pot rear stoptech's to fit up with the SSR SP1's. I ended up "downsizing" the rears to the 328mm stoptech kit with the 2 pot calipers, and 5mm spacers. If you really want to keep your rear wheels, you may want to look into this rear kit as well, as it has a bit more clearance than the 4 pot. The added bonus is it's a bit lighter than the 4 pot (less unsprung weight in rear), should retain your brake bias, and the 2 pot should have more pad options.
