was at this meet last night and was taking some snaps...
thought i'd post a few...

 

i think it would be courteous if you blackened out ppl's license plates when posting pix.

 

If people prefer to have that done, then by all means, I agree...

But seriously.... why?? Every day people see these cars, and the license plates... Lots of people... You know, every single person that drives behind you.... Just a thought.. You really aren't saving anyone from anything... Just a thought..

 

Can someone please explain why they blur licenses plates, when they are clearly seen by thousand on a daily basis?

The only time a license plates should be blurred is when it’s photographed while performing an illegal activity, because potentially the photo can incriminate the owner of the vehicle.

my 2 cents.

 

While it no longer applies in California, other states allow you to gain owner information base on a licenses plate numbers and I think this tradition caries on from that.

I do it to all my photos out of common courtesy to the people who's cars I photograph. Some people just don't want that stuff posted. Just like some people don't want to be in the phone book while others do.

Good to see you again, James, and nice to meet the rest of you. So many nice cars, and even a few recent purchases! We enjoyed rolling up in 3 Zs to see a parking lot with 15ish more Zs. Where is the guy who took all the pics!?! It's 10am already! ;-)

damn guys, dont be trippin...i was merely suggesting that some ppl may not want their plate shown. i mean, you are taking pictures of their property so i would give them that courtesy, plus it only takes 2 seconds to black it out.
