Bubble- No, you don't buy anything in advance. You just get to the track, there are people at the front gate. Tell them you want to race, and they'll take your cash there. Then you proceed to Tech, where they check your car to make sure its safe to race, and you're good to go. Its not too terribly difficult to figure out, and most everyone there will be able to help you out.

But, you should normally get there between 3-4pm to get in a few practice runs, and your post was at 5:30... Sooo, not sure how many runs you'll get if you went tonight. Good luck either way.

Good time last night guys! You naysayers missed out, as there were only about 120 cars. Those who got there on time got 5 practice runs before the brackets started. I got three practice runs, one which didn't get timed.

Sean was still running, of course, when I was eliminated - errr, kicked out. ;-)
I'll have to review their rules for cars running sub 11.49s because I thought I didn't need a full cage since I have an unmodified firewall. I do need to get a flamesuit though to run there again. I talked to another guy with what I believe was an 06' Red 350. His name is here is "NISSAN"-something? ? ?

Sean - how far did you get?

See y'all out there again sometime. AlvinG - you are a punka*s! Ash and Dem got some videos - care to host them? You can only see the launches and then see the car get small from there, but we got timeslips if you need proof, punk! 11.2x @ 129.7 before the boot. And it was just starting to cool down - dang...next time I'll have to sandbag until it's 70^ out. ;-)

I didn't see any other boosted Zs. There were a few 350s, a pack of neons, evos, STIs, and the typical V8-crew.

I'll send you the vids tonight from geemail.

Sac-up already and buy Bigbri's ride! Have ZCG do a PPI and move on it! *seriously*

I don't know Sean's fastest time. 13.6 was his dial - I don't know if he broke out or not though...

Just an FYI.. I've got a personal webpage as well.. I just checked my stats and I'm right at 27GB of disk space (of which my site uses a whopping 3%), and my total bandwidth is 1.33TB. Of course, its throttled to 120GB, but still...

I can host vids too if needed...

Thanks, man. I'm working on him to buy your car... Did you g-tech 134mph or get that at Sac after your post about the 11.7@128?

I have a built motor, also, with customization from manifolds to mufflers. I spun as well, but I used a 2-step button to launch at 16psi then click to 24psi for the rest of the run which helped. The Mickey Thompson ET STREETS (not ET Drag) are way better than the BFG DRs, but they (the MTs) aren't as streetable for everyday use (although they are DOT legal for street use). I'd like to get to a Saturday night grunge at Sac. Not only is that track faster (it's not uphill and into-the-wind like Sears), but one can get more runs in...

There is a NorCal Drift Association (NCDA), but I don't know much else about it. If you want to go to HPDEs, autocrosses, or drag events, I can help you. As for sliding sideways making pink and blue smoke - someone else will have to guide you. ;-)

134 trap is awesome. What were your 60', 1/8th ET, and 1/8 speed? Many years ago, when my car was first purchased and stock, SP did my first bolt-ons and the suspension (when Rob and Greg ran the show). All the latest motor work and tuning have been done at ZCG.

IDK - Alvin?

Same 1/8th mile speed as my run, with 4 more mph at the top - impressive. Were you hassled for not having a rollbar? I have a rollbar, but no side bar. Plus they require a fireproof suit. There are lots of rules at Infineon for running sub 11.49: http://www.infineonraceway.com/documents/ACF9397.pdf

And were you able to run at night with some cooler weather? I know the car would have come even more alive with another drop of 6 or 8 degrees in temp. I also read on the Sac Raceway website that they limited the drags to 11.50 or higher. I'd like to find a place to make unlimited runs at night without hassle.

I'd take your car for check-out at ZCG anyway. Have Rob and crew check it out, get it up on the dyno, then use all that info to pad your sale (or for simple peace-of-mind if you keep it). Let me know if you're going to come down - I'm game for a few fun runs. It doesn't look like I'll take you, but I might be the closest run you've had in a long time. ;-)

I got kicked out for running that time and mph..... It was 80 degrees out...if itwas 70 or less the car would of been a lot faster...And I'm down to run...I'm sure it would be the closest race ever and it would come down to a drivers race... Also I'm running rich....10.0 a/f so imagine if I was 11.1 or 11.5

I've mulled over the idea of having a real sports car, one that is turbocharged for sure. Like Fowlman says I can't be driving my chick car all the time Walt, aren't all Z's called Fairlady's???
I developed a turbo fetish after riding in scotts300 several years ago and it blew my mind(still does). I even drove a "mildly" modded Z32TT for a few days. Seeing Bruce's 350ZTT in action also contributed to my desire for a Z. Most of the video clips I have on my website all involve boosted 510s, Z32s, Z33s, 240z, etc.
I sold my daily driver, an SVT Focus, in hopes of buying a Z32TT or a 350z. It's been eating at me for a LONG time, and hangin' with you guys or getting rides in boosted Z's has left me totally spolied and hooked on turbos. The sound, the feeling, the rush. It is insane.

I must have looked at BigBri's steetfire videos 50times in the last week.

A few words from my friends:
"You can sleep in a car, but you can't race a house"
"Buy the stable before you buy the horse"

I have chosen the latter!
