I think they'd also tie that in as an "exhibition of speed". That's what they did in AZ to curtail cruising.

I just got a Zee Bracket for my front plate. Doesn't look that bad. Tons better than drilling holes in my bumper, that's for sure.

//CA sucks, I can't wait for my girlfriend to finish grad school.

A felony is a pretty stiff penalty and is something that you pretty much have to live with the rest of your life. Street racing is serious business though and maybe it should carry such a stiff penalty. I don't race on the street but I would hate to get caught up in someone elses mess just because I drive a Z.

I support it 100%... This will save lives.

As far as fix it tickets in the City during HIN... Pretty funny to me. How else is the City going to subsidize all our lefty, social programs?

Better to get a fix it ticket from SFPD as DPT slaps you with a fine for $100 for not having the front plate. I know, because I've gotten it once and with DPT, there is no "fix." You just have to eat the cost.

Despite all the CA laws that limit what we can and can't do to our rides, etc...CALI is the best state in the UNION. Hands down!

who engage in reckless driving or speed contests that injure another person
Left off the part about the racing having to actually cause injury to another person ...

Now that actually makes sense.

Except for the weather, entertainment, great food, best looking women in the US, low real estate taxes, booming job market, higher pay, and real estate investments that are netting me $100,000 a year I would agree.

+1. it tends to happen. this law won't effect most of us because we don't street race. but it's the profiling or should i say... on the look out for "illegal modified cars."

I agree and of course CA being the highest tax bracket, paying out the high welfare checks and having the largest population of any of the states and of course all the hospitals giving free medical attention to all the welfare and low income people which the small population (taxpayers) pay each year. Yes a good example: CA Supplemental Income (SSI) $836.00 per mo, of course most other states is $603.00, i.e. IL, MO, TX, LA, MI, MN, etc. etc.// Yes, CA is the Golden State or is Satan. Soon as I'm retired, I'm also out of here and will sell my property, which is the one good thing per sei for CA. Investment in property. This is one good point: Investements!

After thinking about it, I doesn't seem that it would be all that necessary. I guess it just makes it easier to prosecute. I mean this guys is already being charged with vehicular manslaughter:

And I don't think this law will actually keep anyone who wants to street race from doing it. You would need to give them a brain for that (j/k)

+1 It seems everyone left this part out. I totally agree with that.... But catching a F for street racing would be ridiculous.

That's going to be hard to do considering we have over 100 cars . See you all tomorrow!
