i'm free this friday... my car is dirty but i'll come anyway if this happens

 

Okay guys here it is...

I just got back from Quarry Lakes in Fremont and scoped things out.

The Good

-There is a huge parking lot and a few spots where we can BBQ at.
-There is only 1 speed bump at the entrance but it is very small.
-The entrance has no driveway ramp so its all good for those with lowered cars.
-I will put up $100 out of pocket for Hamburger Patties, cheese, Hot Dogs, Buns and Condiments. (COSTCO Baby!)

The Bad

-Sat. 1/17 or Sun. 1/18 is very short notice.
-We will still need drinks & Chips
-We will need a good size charcoal grill + charcoal or gas grill + gas (Im no fan of the park's BBQ pits)
-Parking is $5


Any input before I start a new thread?

 

Oh snap, did someone say BBQ??? I'm in! but I doubt my car will be done by then I'll bring chips and drinks tho!

 

Sounds like a good idea. I'm down to attend. Start the thread. Better today to give people time to plan. I'll bring things necessary for the BBQ.

The BBQ? Yeah it happened this past Saturday. Had good turnout and good food

I"ve been out of commission because of a leg injury. But I can finally drive the Z again.

Anybody think of any good spots or do you guys think River Mark is still a good place to hang? Im sure the apartment building next to the parking structure is finished and the last couple times we chilled there people were hanging out their windows looking at us.


I know we head out to Ranch 99 in Milpitas after, should we just have them there?


Any input?

 

I heard Rivermark has increased police presence, so I'm not sure whether if that'll be the best place for a meet. Plus residence there do peak out their windows, and there bound to be people who hate imports and call the cops on us. I honestly think that Ranch 99 is still the best place fot a gtg as long as we keep it civilized.

 

I like Ranch 99 too. The S2000 guys don't mind us being there and its very kick back on that side away from Quickly. I think River Mark was great but with the speed bumps on the structure and the new apartments now finished + the police factor, its risky hanging out there now.


I was also thinking we need a Cars & Coffee GTG once a month for those that like to chill on a Saturday/Sunday during the day.

 

hey vince what are your plans tomorrow? im supposed to meet up with Ed after work for some pics around 3ish...maybe we can have a mid week meet...a little goodbye meet for my z...anybody??
