I was at Metreon a few hours ago and they had at least 20+ 60gig ps3s. You can give them a call and see if they have anymore in stock.

How can I tell if this is the second batch / shipment? I understand the first batch have many crashes and such.

 

they're all the same...as long as you download the patches, they'll work fine. Mine kept freezing until I downloaded the patches. Now it works perfectly fine.

 

Is that what the update DL was for? Update 1.32 or 1.29 or something like that?

 

yea. It's up to 1.33 now I believe.

Yes I've got a 60gb and it downloads over the WiFi. It lets you know you need to update. Mine was from the 1st batch and never crashed, but all these updates fix little bugs and add a couple things too.

 

I like how the hype for these consoles is over.

I got my on day one, I waited 4days and three nights in line. I love it. Its true it freezes up on 1.0 software if you try to play games. But as soon as you patch it up it works perfect. I got a 360 and ps3 they honestly rock. If you like videogames this generation is gona be a blast.

 

I almost got jumped in line for one. I left because it's not worth it.

I like how I was with a bunch of my military friends and they showed zero respect...all for a PS3, sheesh!

 

pretty much people paid nearly 1k to be a beta tester for sony. not worth it in my opinion.

 

Walked into BestBuy in Milpitas and got 2 60GB just now.
