Default 100, 93 Octane in the East Bay

I came across a pump station in San Leandro that sells 100 and 93 octane pump gas. Just a heads up for those of you that want to use high octane gas.

Can't you use the 103+ octane booster additive? Or is that old school and not good for the engine?

I curious?

Octane Booster additives are fine, but you'll need a lot to get 91 Octane Pump gas anywhere near 100 octane. Cheaper and easier to buy it at the pump.

What are the detriments, if any, to our engine with using that high an octane?
