Thanks for those that went, that was a good turnout. Also thanks to those who caravaned with me, we had a good 10 or so Z's from sac to blackhawk, I am working on the pics tonight and maybe have them up by tomorrow.

I must say I was a little disappointed. I went to see the Nismo Z but it was no where to be found. I was also hoping to see/meet some cool people and not one person said a word to me, I ended up leaving after about an hour.

The Nismo Z was in the museum and then came down to the lot in the afternoon, IMO it was ugly as hell, the altima wasn't much to look at either at least in the rear. It was a zonc event so they tend to have a different croud, I found a few people off this board but I am usually busy taking pics and with my g/f most the time....I tend to hang back and not say to much, kinda shy so nobody usually knows me in person. But I feel you, different crowd for zonc, most of those people come out once or twice a year for those shows and dont drive there Z's to much but I like to see the classics come out of hiding for that show.

There was a ZCG crew of about 10 cars and 15 people. The NISMO Z was in the museum until after lunch, then came down for the entire afternoon. I met a few ppl from this board, but clearly not you.

Here are my pics:

There was a gorgeous SMB '07 with dual Stillen intakes:

Lots of Nismo LMGT4 wheels and a crazy Z33 with flip-up doors

And 2 '06 CS bone stock and shiny, reminding me of how my baby used to look

Hey Steve! Good to see you (and your car)! Hope the drive back home was fun and relatively uneventful!

ctzn - Sorry if I didnt get to say hello to you. Should of pulled your chair up and sat in the shade with a few of us.

Scott - The drive home was alot better than the drive up there. Going up we came across a very bad accident between a big rig and an rv. Neither one won.

ctzn isn't too far off ... if I hadn't introduced myself, I don't think anyone would have aknowledged me either. But, from my experience, that's true at most car shows. It's not that people aren't friendly, it's just that if people don't know you, they probably won't initiate conversation with you.

I arrived after 1300 hrs. I was fortunate enough to see the NISMO Z inside and out. It was pretty cool. There were some really nice cars there. I stayed until after the announcement of the "best in show". Of course I'm biased, but I thought that a 350 should have won, ha ha ha.

Unfortuantely, I forgot my camera. If anyone is willing to share their pics I'd appreciate it.

By the way, scotts300, it was nice talking with you momentarily. You and the group you were with seem like good people. I hope to go on a run soon with all of you.

here is a start, I mostly have caravan shots, car show pics are boring to take and I prefer to take pics on the road but I will have a couple of show pics. Unfortunately I have a crappy hand help 5mp so my pics are not the clearest but I have a different shooting style then most people. here is a preview....

my parents new 350z

and our group, about 10 of us from sac

here is a few more albums btw...

Nice chatting with you, Wes; and hope to see you around more as well. Like you said, it's not that people aren't friendly, it's that we don't know who is passing through the parking lot and who is interested in the cars.

Thought it was pretty good, also checked out the museum and the NismoZ, wasn't as good as I had thouht, but was still nice. Enjoyed all the 240, 260, 280 , 300'S there, as there were some really nice stocks looking good. All the cars, models, etc looked great, always like the older models, as I had a 260 and 280. Z's are the car. Show was really good and well organized. Couldn't help but enjoy it, aaahhh except for the sunburn of course.

Nice to talk you, normally I am shy/quiet running around snapping pics and enjoying the Z's but you had some awesome stories about your older Z's and I enjoyed talking with you and rgtopz.
