We went down to this meet last year in Hearst Castle with the G's / Z's and a few M3,M5's. It was a cool event, but I wished we had something planned besides just looking at each other's cars for 2-3 hours then go home. B.B.Q or some type of Drawing.

We should caravan down together as a group or what not. I went last year to the Hearst Castle meet. It was a very nice and scenic drive.

 

count me in for this one... girlfriend loves that area, so bonus points for me.

Yeah, last year was good, as a couple of us (ragtopz) took a tour through Hearst Castle and didn't stand around just looking at the cars. Even the Ford GT didn't keep us from taking a tour. A BBQ would be a good idea in a nearby location. And hopefully no police chase this time.

 

yea when we get a date and everything all of us G's are going to caravan down there we should all meet and caravan down...

Gabe, I felt we kinda jump on the gun by posting this on other forums, we have not even gotten an consensus on what we are going to do for this event yet, I thought we should've first decide on what type of event should be and set the date before we start posting elsewhere, because I dont think you guys are much interested in planning this thing out with us.

Many ppl had suggested some ocean front beach towns, but its just too hard to find parking for all of us, I brought up the Hearst Castle but thing is, what are we going to do for lunch? if we meet up there and then drive to somehwere else for lunch? we will be facing same parking issues.

Reserve an park to do an BBQ seems like decent idea, but that also have its own set of challenges, like how to transporting meats/poultry safely and bring along tons of supplies.

Cartering seem to be the best options, but the cost for cartering and renting an banquet hall could be out of reach for us, I did mentioned the place called Madonna INN's they can do cartering and have a banquet hall with somewhat resonable price, but it dont seem to get much of interest.

So I dont know...Hey, our Monterey drive is on June 30th. will you and Warren join us this time again? Will post the info in couple of days...but we will not stop at Stick/17miles, just into Old Fisherman's Wharf.

BTW- Do you still go to the Friday night meets in Milpitas (Ranch 99 Center)?? I was thinking about heading up there again to check it out.

 

I moved away from bayarea in Feb, unless there are something special/large gartherings going on at Ranch99? I would not be there...there is Santna Row super car meet every Sat. morning, if I'm going to drive 90~ish miles for a casual car meet? that probably would be the one I go to.

 

Shane, pm me your tel#// I know Gabe and I will want to do the run south. I also remember we had a nice stop on Hwy1 down at a restaurant for too. Even if we are a large number, it would be fun to just overload whatever place we go to. They'll like the business and we'll like the atmosphere, along the beach road, etc. Don't know the places down there, but would be easier for all probably. Only money, no packin' and no worries. You should move back towards us, at least then I could steal errr borrow aaaahhh see your bmw. Gotta say that right. Oh, I mean we could get together again, that's it.
Keep 09-15-07 open now, that's the date Gabe & I are working on for the 17mile Pebble Beach/Carmel Valley Drive with lunch on Pebble Beach at Spanish Inn ("Sticks") again.
