Default anyone interested in tech day at my house?

Just wondering if there is anyone interested in doing a tech day at my house? I have most of the basic tools to do basic maintence stuff as well as jack stands and one cheapo jack.

So that means Moodie can change his light bulbs....

Also, you guys are more than welcome to wash your car here... just bring your own Zaino/crystal guard/black magic/ etc....

I also have some z videos we can watch as well as the Ultimate Z weekend video uncut....

I guess we can probably all pitch in and get some pizza & beer or something like that...

Anyways, reply if you're interested. I'm looking at this upcoming Saturday 05/17/03 for the tech day if we have enough interest. Btw, I'm in Santa Clara.

Dave- I'm definitely interested- I need to replace the plastic running boards under my bumper and engine (part of my recent damage) and need a jack (even a cheapo one ) and some jack stands to do so- I need to order them from Nissan but shouldn't take to long.

I also need to check my right rear strut to- still getting a weird bumping noise every once in a while and can't figure out why- shop verified everything is tight and OK but it's annoying as ****.

Only thing is I'm out of town this weekend for a wedding, but what about next weekend?

I also have some z videos we can watch as well as the Ultimate Z weekend video uncut....
woohoo *** shots of import models

Default I'm interested!!

I, too, will be busy these 2 weekends! How about the weekend of the May 31st or June 1st. That gives me a chance to go get the bulbs as well. Thanks, Dave!

Sounds good- I had them check it out at Gruppe-S and everything looked OK- they checked all the bolts and verified they were tight-The weird thing is the metallic (aluminum *ping*) went away but the bump is still there.

May 31st or June 1st works for me. My gf is going home to Hawai'i for a couple weeks starting that weekend. So, I finally have some time to hang out w/ fellow Z enthusiasts. I have Trucut ramps w/ the extension kit (perfect for the Z). Let me know if you guys want me to bring it.

31st might work. Sounds like we have interests , I'll do an official post after I confirm it. Tentatively mark 31st for the tech day then.

My bro order some high beam that's pretty close to the HID. Let me check to see if the place also sell this type of bulb. Might as well swap that out too. If they don't carry them, moodie, can pick me up a set. I'll check tonight when I get home and let you know if I need a set. Anyone else interested in the High beams?

let me find out tonight. I think he still have the box. I think he ordered it from a Bimmer site but as long as we get the right size and type, it shouldn't have any issues.

Moodie- Just the small lights like on Brandon's car- no high beams for me.

Did you talk to Audra???

This is OT, but I have to ask you guys something. I'm pretty sure most of you have grounding kits installed. I'm shopping around for stuff to do my own kit. Questions I have:

1.) What size are the wire terminals 3/8" or 5/8"?
2.) What size bolts do I need and how many?

Thanks all...

MGV156- cant remember the size wire terminal I used- but I picked up 12 ft of 4 gauge wire at a local stereo shop for like $15. I picked up gold plated terminals from radio shack for like $20 for a set of 10 (they can be a tad bigger, don't have to be exact). $35. for a grounding kit.

I've got a crimper and I think I have some extra shrink wrap- Let me know if you can make it to Dave's house and I'll be sure to bring them.

If anyone else is interested grab some wire from the stereo shop, some terminals from radio shack and bring them along to Dave's. We can make some DIY some grounding kits cheap.

Oh yea- bolts- I picked them up from home depot- I think you need 5-6 total. I had to make a couple trips in and out to find the correct thread pattern- which I can't remember either. but I think I spent $2 between all the bolts I purchased- Let me knowif you're (or anybody else) interested- I'll stop by hgome depot and pick up thje correct bolts for everyone.

Let me know.

-Jason

Jason,
How much per foot is the cable? I was thinking of ordering some at sounddomain.com since they're offering no tax and free shipping. As for the terminals and heat shrinks, I will need them as long as it fits the cable I'm planning to get (4 AWG). I can also bring an industrial crimper that's perfect for these terminals (line insaneamine's kits).
