If you know anybody who is a AAA member, they should be able to have it towed to SC for free...

Have it towed to Z Car Garage, in San Jose. Use Rob's "tow guy", I bet it is $150.

BTW, I have Ameriprise Ins through Costco. It was 40% cheaper than I had with Geico, plus road side service/towing are FREE. I've had my Z towed 3 times (to my chagrin) but all were covered.

finally got my car towed last friday... worst towing i've experienced ever! the guy they sent must have been 80 years old.. i had to do most of the things, me and my GF pulled the car out of the basement parking garage since the truck could not go inside.. not to mention he placed my car toward the rear end of the truck like it was about to fall... and he doesnt know where Santa Clara is...? he was following me and we got separated on the freeway so he exited and sat on a gas station somewhere, his boss then called me and told me that he wouldn't drive unless i go back and fetch him. at that point i was getting really frustrated so i asked for the drivers cel number, i was able to convince him to just drive south and i'll find him on the freeway... finally we got to the shop and my car safe, first thing he said to me was "i'm sorry"... now i feel bad.. and he only had me pay $150 instead of $257..

i was suppose to switch to Ameriprise, i was so busy that i forgot that my policy is up for renewal, since i have automatic payments it renewed itself automatically.. i'll switch when i'm up for renewal in 2 months
