Wedding Photographer Recommendations
Can anyone thats gotten married recently recommend a wedding photographer local to the Bay Area.
I'd prefer someone who shoots w/o an assistant, but thats not a requirement. I'd also require someone willing to give full resolution digital source files.

What youre asking (full-res raw) will cost you... If you dont have your own equiptment...
Well, I hope that helps...
check her out.....www.kellyhsiao.com. she is a freelance/Wedding photographer in San Jose area. She does very good work and also has her own studio next to her mom's work. You can email her at kelsiao@gmail.com, or call at 408-329-2511.
How much are you looking spend? Picture 2000 did my wedding I paid a little under $10,000 for everything. The wife found them and couldnt be happier. Really great photos cant be beat, great album, calender, original disk with full res copies, you choice of album style. If your near Milpitas area sometime I'd be glad to show you our album.

Yeah, um, 10K is WELL out of range for photos. We are paying less than that for the entire wedding.
I have no desire for a professionally made album - I can do that myself. All I really care about is a single photographer and the digital files.
I'm thinking less than 2K.

Check out the wedding photograpy section... I really like Ed Pingol's work... Start a thread - Im sure some of the locals would do a "shoot and run" (no post processing what so ever)...

I got married in So Cal, and know of no one but here is my advice.
Find someone great and spend whatever it takes to get what you want. If you want all the high res shots, work it out with them, since they are loosing money on the prints.
In the end, the food, the DJ, and just about everything else but her wedding dress are only memories. Over time, the worst things will simply be stories that people tell but the pictures, they are the hard copy. You can't go back and get them again, especially the candid shots of the two of you.

Slight hijack!
Wait....maybe I'm being naive here....but...
Is it possible to have a wedding below $10K? From what I remembered, all the weddings I've been to cost upwards of $30K minimum? I know this because I have discussed with my uncles who were recently married 3-4 years ago and back then they spent nearly $35g's.....
It's just a question, do carry on

Total cost will be about 11K.
Its easy to keep the costs down if you dont have 300 people there.
